Windproof
Sounds like a small taser but definitely does the job, strong enough to battle wind.

Works well as a light and a lighter
A really good item yet easy to lose. I need to order another! Flame good- flashlight good. Well designed and well made.

A Very handy tool
I originally ordered a plasma lighter but without the LED light. When I saw this lighter on Amazon I decided this might be more practical for my day to day use around the house. I really like the LED light which is pretty bright for its size. The casing seemed to be well constructed and the cap is secured with a wire clip. It came with a power charger cord and a lanyard with a whistle to boot (which I'm not sure how useful it will be around the house). You have to provide your own plug-in for the cord. The lighter will ignite a piece of paper. I like the light, but have an issue with the sequence. The flashlite is a series of three stages: low beam, high beam, and strobe. There is no way to just have the high beam or even the low beam come on each time you click the button. Instead you have to click the button each time to rotate to the next stage of the light beam. Each time you click the button the lite goes off and when you hit the button again one of the three stages of light will come on. Overall, I like the lighter and will see how it function this coming winter.

She Said Burn
I'm uploading a video which will provide a much simpler and easier explanation, but in a nutshell this is an arc lighter which creates an "X"-shaped electrical fire that is strong enough to light things at about 80% of a gas lighter. Don't worry, it lights things just as well, but it takes just an extra second more. The upside, and this is where I feel this electrical lighters will soon make gas lighters obsolete, is that you will never have to replace them as long as they are functional. Because you only have to charge them, and never have to buy extra gas or worry about them running out of it. There is also a cool flashlight/torch feature at the bottom, so it can double in a pinch. And you can also hook it up to the included necklace strap which has a whistle built in. A single full charge can last you for weeks, even if you're a heavy smoker (ok, don't quote me on that because I don't smoke anymore, but I've had others and those lasted as long). A cool safety feature is it has a five-second duration cut-off, meaning even if you hold down the on button for longer than that(or if somehow the button was accidentally depressed), it would still auto shut-off after five seconds. That's pretty neat.So in a nutshell, you shouldn't buy gas lighters anymore, unless you forget this one at home when you go out or something. And when the day comes for when these can cost less than $5, gas lighters will become obsolete. Welcome to the future.

Love it!
Actually got one for my grandpa that uses zippo lighters but he is getting old and burnt the heck out of his nose. So the family was talking about something else. Some one mentioned a torch lighter and I told them that was a bad idea. We did some looking and found this. It's his christmas present so he hasn't gotten it yet but I liked it and decided to get one. Only had it about a month so far, only concerns is how long the battery will keep a charge and the ark pegs will last. I guess I'll find out. For $10 though, I love this thing. I use the flashlight all the time too. I hate using my phone as a flashlight but with this it's amazing, and the light is actually really good. I was very impressed.

Great product
I bought this hoping it was good, wow itโs 10x better than I had hoped !Flashlight is really bright.Package is nice although I havenโt tried to submerge it, it looks like it could withstand it quite well. The lighter is incredible, lighting candles etc much quicker than anything else (flame lighter, matches etc) this might Be due to a higher temperature of the electric arc (?) but candles that normally hesitate to light suddenly light up in less than 1/2 a second.Small portable and rechargeable if I had to be on a deserted island this (a knife and a small solar panel to recharge it) would be all I need โฆ ๐

Batting .500 with them so far.
I ordered 2 of them; one is still working well; the other has given up the ghost, and will not shut off for some reason. But while it was working, it worked well- and hte otehr has given me no trouble so far. I am going to order 2 more, in the expectation that the one I still have working will someday quit as well- and see if I can do better with the 2nd set, as I do like not inhaling the butane.

Effective when it works, but won't hold a charge.
Does not hold a charge. I followed the charging instructions, but it simply would not last more than a few brief uses after charging for hours.
