I bought this device for submitting my mom's digital life certificate using Jeevan Pramaan online service after reading reviews that this device worked for some. I reached out to SecuGen RD Service Support team at [email protected] to register this device and provided them with model # and serial # and this is what they replied back to me: Dear Sir, Your are using Secugen Hamster Pro 20 A (Model No HU20 A) which is not certified Device for RD Service . You need to purchase Secugen Hamster Pro 20 Device (Model No : HU20) Not really sure if this was their excuse as I haven't bought it directly from them. This is the same device I bought on Amazon that others bought and some were able to register it but SecuGen support team denied to register it for me. So good luck if you want to buy it and give it a try.

This really works after minor tweaks and help from SecuGen india company… the seller is just awesome who helped me to get connected with the company in India. They charge a nominal yearly subscription of 295Ruppes and will send you all the details via email drivers and the finger print app. After everything was set it took 5-10mins to generate the life certificate. Will definitely recommend this product. Please note: when running the Jeevan pramaan app in US you will have to set the time zone to India on your laptop or computer otherwise the app will not work…

This worked well with Jeevan Pramman software to generate life certificate . The software installation instructions are not the best but the support over chat / WhatsApp was very quick and helped to resolve all issues . Go for it you if you want a digital life certificate submission without the stress of submission via consulate etc .

Dffiicult to go on with the application of Jeevan pramaan

An excellent Hand Print reader and a Registered Device especially for Jeevan Pramaan Digital Life Certificate. Works pretty well without any hazzle. All one to do is to Register this device first with SecuGen India Ltd by raising online request to SecuGen India and subsequently sending the Invoice Copy. Once the device is registered within 2 days after making payment online as directed by SecuGen India Ltd, just follow the instruction of Registering this device with your Laptop. Now you are ready to create Digital Life Certificate.

For 76$ this is not cheap. But, this saved a trip for my mom to go to india to do fingerprinting for jeevan pramman purposes. Before buying it i even went through the whole cycle of getting a life certificate from NY consulate. But it still meant she wont be fingerprinted and would have to go to lot of beaurocratic steps for her to prove her identity for pension pursposes. Gave this a try, it was confusing for me to understand what needs to be done first. but I read and reread the secugen website instructions and jeevan pramaan website multiple times. Downloaded needed software, registered my product, called India secugen support and they did the magic work...only thng that i had huge problem was changing the laptop system time to local time IST time - the way my laptop was set was to be EST - after making some considerable config changes, this worked. The support team in india were great. Once that was changed and my mom was able to log in and finger print. However the change of time is only for first time.

Does not work with Jeevan Pramaan app anymore. Contacted customer service and they confirmed the below. Only Secugen Hamster Pro 20 Devices (Models HU20, H20A, HU20AP, and HU10) that were activated and registered with UIDAI before November 1, 2024, are allowed for continued use in Aadhaar authentication.
