181 Shrinking Plastic Kit for Kids Craft, 20 Film Sheets, Xmas Party Favors

I used to love making Shrinky Dinks when I was younger and kind of forgot about them until I wanted to make a couple pins for myself for Halloween and was trying to think how I could do that. These definitely get the job done. I didn’t really need the accessories for my purposes, but they seem good quality and I thought it was a really good inclusion, especially if you do want to make keychains. My oven is currently broken, so I used a heat gun. Made things a bit challenging as they do tend to want to blow around as they start to shrink and I had to chase them around the tray with my heat gun a bit, and it also left some of them with a small pit or dip in the middle, but I do think that was from using the heat gun. Still worked, but I’d probably recommend doing it in an oven over that if you have the option. I was disappointed when I made my first one because you draw on the “rough” side, so my first one came out dull and matte instead of shiny like the reverse side is, but then I grew a brain and remembered that if you wanted the shiny side to be the front, you had to flip/reverse any text when drawing it on so that once it shrinks, you can turn it over to the shiny side and the text will be the correct way around. Anyways, they’re just as fun and addictive as I remember.

Lots of fun and easy to work with! The pieces in the kits work well though the links break easily. The plastic in my kit didn't shrink perfectly and doesn't always sit flat. There were no bubbles though. If you care about having perfect proportions, do a test run first. Squares will shrink into a rhombus shape. The kit says that plastic will shrink to 50% and needs 1-2 minutes at 330F. My tests showed 40-45% reduction in dimensions with 3-5 minutes at 330F, depending on the oven used.

This product is amazing! I made them with my memory care residents, and we had so much fun. Easy to follow instructions, and works exactly as described. We made earrings, keychains, and buttons. Even my coworkers made some. They are quite addicting! Such a reasonable price for an awesome product. I printed Clipart from Google, traced with a Sharpie, and voilà! Great fun for kids and adults.

Super easy to do and we did it as a family for Christmas. Made hand and foot prints into ornaments I added some before and after so you can see the size difference

The shrink plastic itself works lovely, and is perfect for making small Keychains. Colored pencil, sharpie, and posca pen all worked well, and it baked nice and flat as long as you keep an eye on it and press it when it comes out of the oven. The findings - Keychain, jump rings, etc - are very flimsy though. Every Keychain I made with them, the chain broke within a day, even with minimal stress on it... I'd just plan on buying sturdier metal parts, they're not that expensive. However, I think it is worth the price just for the plastic and hole punch, so I'm not overly bothered.

These are AWESOME! Me and my kid have been doing a few of these everyday. They turn out pretty small, so I suggest using about half a page for each little picture to make sure they’re a size you can actually see, the Garfield pictured was about half a page big. I’ve been using my acrylic paint markers for them, but ink markers and colored pencils worked perfectly fine as well. We’ve been putting ours in the oven and that’s worked mostly fine but they do sometimes fold in on themselves and stick to themself (causing the third image) but you can fix them if you’re willing to use a fork or something to unstick them while they’re still hot. When baking them make sure you put the smooth side UP, though honestly if you’re making something you really want to turn out good you should just use a heat gun. The only issue I have with this set is that the clasps are really fragile so these keychains are more for room decoration than anything you should actually put on your keys. :3 anyways I’m gonna be ordering these like weekly from now on.

I’m a teacher and my students use these every year to make a super cute Mother’s Day gift. It’s so much fun and everyone loves them!

The shrink paper is one of my daughter’s favorite things. She loves to make her own magnets, croc charms or keychains out of these. Such a fun and creative activity for any age.

Super kit pour réaliser facilement des petits porte-clés, bijoux ou déco avec les enfants. Les feuilles rétrécissent bien, et le rendu est top ! Idéal pour des activités créatives à la maison.

Purchased for a crafty 8 year girl! But this would be fun for all ages! As you can see in the pic the naughty one was created by an adult child! Great fun for hours! I also purchased some acrylic pens to colour her designs! She coloured her designs before we put in them oven. For us 1 minute was long enough in the oven and the results were brilliant! She is now making personalised key chains for all the family! I remember when I was a child (I am 40 now) we would do similar with empty crisps packets in the oven! So this brought a wave of nostalgia for me!
