Brilliant strings.
I only just heard about these strings: don't know why I never heard of them before. I have a Guild guitar and these sound lovely: very full sound, responsive to varying force therefore easy to control the general volume and balance the dynamics. They hold their intonation well. I've only just bought them so can't speak for the longevity hence just 3 stars for that. Otherwise, these are the best strings I've found for this guitar so far.

Better than some other Martin strings
Martin strings are cheaper than the top quality strings and for a good reason. However, for novelty as much as anything, as I have a Martin OM28 Marquis, I thought I’d try the strings they recommend. The covering of the ball end certainly helps protect the bridge. But sound quality and durability? They place nice, feel better than some. I’m used to coated strings but felt these were acceptable. They lasted longer than I thought they would and went full after a couple of months, my Elixir last slightly longer. I’m happy to buy them for this guitar.

Why has it taken me so long to discover these?
I never really enjoy playing my steel string acoustic as much as my other guitars. It never occurred to me this was because the strings made it such chore. Switching to these has been a real game changer. My guitar is a real joy to play now. I always enjoyed the lower tension on my classical guitar and these strings are made with a similar construction method to classical strings. Like classical strings they are not as bright as phosphor bronze but for me this is a good thing. I prefer the warmer, rounder tone these produce - phosphor bronze is just a little too brassy for my taste. Playability-wise they are somewhere between a conventional steel string and a classical. Finger picking is much easier and I can bend notes in a way that would have been a struggle before. I can’t really assess longevity as I have only just put them on, but to be honest unless they break in the next week I will be buying these again.

No other strings will substitute these bad boys
I wouldn’t use any other strings. Perfect for ovation round back guitars. Excellent tone. I find the extra light 10-47 gauge is good for playing guitar solos with a reasonable amount of bend and flex to hit certain notes in the solos. These are just slightly thicker than electric guitar strings but are the thinnest acoustic strings I could find (in phos bronze anyway)
