Samsung 65" TU8500 Dynamic Crystal Colour HDR Smart 4K TV with Tizen OS

Best Telly I've ever had and the colours are absolutely stunning. The missus and I are both missing the Cinema as regular attendees, but this TV is helping to make up for it. The crisp and vibrant picture is incredible. The colours as I said are just unreal. What a fantastic TV! Not really played too much with the Smart TV part of it, but great to be able to add channels that aren't available with Virgin - channels like Disney, Britbox etc. Thoroughly recommended. The stand being a lot smaller than it looks means that we can use our old TV table without having to buy one. The one thing you'll have to do though is to turn off the motion smoothing. Whoever thought this was a good idea was wrong. I watched the film 'Alien' and I couldn't understand what was going on. It was like they'd filmed it on the set of Coronation Street - absolutely bewildering until I went online and looked up what's happening. Basically it tries to be clever to cut out the jagged movement when the camera pans, but what it actually ends up doing is inserting 'false' frames between 'real' frames. The upshot of this is that the film speed chosen by the director gets thrown in the bin and the TV plays it at a 'smoothing' rate - this makes everything you watch on TV (TV series and sports) look great and everything you watch that is a film looks absolutely terrible. Once you've worked out how to turn his off then you're good.

Wow What an awesome piece of tech, large screen, light weight, minimal boarder, great sound and the picture quality is to die for. It was so easy to install including the provision of two remote controls. A simple remote for those who like minimalism, as well as a more comprehensive remote to activate all the on-board features. I was able to add Disney to the onscreen menus for ease of use. My wife describes the television as having a cinema screen at home (and she is not a big television fan). It came well packaged prior to the date advised, the stand was simple to attach making the television secure. It is feature rich and well worth the money.

A well thought out responsive TV. Picture quality is great, interface and apps all good and intuitive to use. The wallpaper mode, is unexpectedly good. All round happy with this purchase. Only niggle is I saw this same tv available cheaper elsewhere after I bought it on Amazon. So if you pay less than I did you have a bargain!

Great all round TV specially for the price. The colors are vivid and good picture quality. Comes with plenty of apps to choose from. The only downside is the sound which is quite weak and needs to be enhanced with external speakers. I have given it 4 stars instead of five because it does not come with 3.5mm headphone jack output which is rather annoying.

The TV sound is ok, this is the trade off because the TV is so thin, ( I have purchased the Bose TV sound speaker , superb ) though the smart remote is a revelation, previously I had four remotes for various items , now I have programmed everything into one remote and with " Alexa ," it's a dream , " Bravo Samsung "

High quality TV without having to pay silly money. Trivially simple to set up and use, and the Netflix and Prime Video buttons on the remote are great shortcuts for anyone with subscriptions to these services. We also bought a compatible Samsung soundbar, which made quite a difference, but the sound would be perfectly acceptable as standard.

This is part of my home cinema system therefore I do not use the onboard speakers but run the sound via my receiver. I don't use the remotes that came with the TV but use a Harmony remote to control it and the rest of my AV system. I don't watch live TV or BBC iPlayer. In addition to the normal Freeview channels, it provides a load of extra live internet channels too. The picture is great. I love all the apps, e.g. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+; they load very quickly. My only criticism is that the cable cover on the rear of the TV at the bottom does not clip in securely enough and is too ready to pop out at the least provocation. A reusable cable tie fixes that problem, but it should not have to. This a minor point but one worth mentioning. Overall I am very pleased with this TV.

Bought this TV. Was fine and then just packed up. Only used for 23 months of which 6 months I was out of the country. It was wall mounted. I'm 80 years old with my wife. Nobody has ever touched it since day 1....Samsung and retailer don't want to know. Both saying out of warranty... The thing hasnt lasted any length of reasonable time. Paid around £600. Waste of money. Very disappointed with service and quality of the TV. No help from Amazon, the retailer from Amazon or Samsung direct.... Disgusting and very upsetting for me and my wife... Can't afford to buy a new TV every 2 years.. Don't know what to do now... Nobody helping us to resolve the issue. Terrible...!
