Do you HAVE to use the hand pump or will they burp on their own?

This is not the same kit that I have. Mine did not come with a pump and the tops are screw on and have little "percolater" gadgets to make them burp...

I bought this but now realize I need regular mouth lids. Do you sell those separately, & if not are the airlocks supplied compatible with other lids?

Hi there, We only sell 4pcs fermentation weights seperately , ASIN B089GR5X7C. The airlcocks fits well with 13mm-14mm hole, if your lids hole is this size, it will be compatible. Thanks

Would these be a good option for making infused pepper tequila?

They would work, but you really don't need a fermenter to infuse alcohol. I make several liqueurs and all I do is mix them up and let them sit my dark pantry for a month. I infuse tequila by stemming and washing 6 jalapenos, and 6 serranos. I puncture them 4 or 5 times with a paring knife and put them in a quart jar. Then I pour in 5th of silver tequila, and put it in the pantry. Once or twice a week I shake the jar, and it's ready to serve in a month.

Are the silicone grommets bpa free?

Yes, silicon is made from sand. All silicon is BPA free unless they add it in.
