Traditionally, I would have a service call come out twice a year to clean out and treat. I've tried condensate cleaner, white vinegar, and hot water with limited success. This, however, cleaned out the first try!Now onto the bad things about this. First, this is designed for 16g CO2 cartridges. I have a bunch of 12g Crossman CO2 cartridges for BB guns. I wish I had known that before buying. Instead of buying more expensive 16g cartridges, I've 3D-printed a 12-16g adapter for this. That was a bit of an annoyance as I was without AC due to a pretty bad clog and paid to have this delivered early AM. But alas, with the nozzle end jammed into the condensate pipe, the first use had a nice cork pop at the drain end, followed by nasty crud and built-up water. Once cleared out, my AC system has been running without trouble!As 16g CO2 cartridges are typically double the price of 12g, that may be a disadvantage.
