Walensee Bath Mat, High Pile Microfiber Bathroom Rug, Non-Slip, 16 x 24, Black

I previously owned a set of bath rugs from Laura Ashley which I loved enough to hang onto for at least ten years! Those rugs held up well after many, many washings, were thick and fluffy. I washed so much the rubber backing eventually gave out. I have been looking for replacements, tried some that turned out horrible, including a set of Vera Wang eyelash yarn rugs. Don’t bother, those are so thin you’d be better off with a towel under your feet.Now to this set of bath rugs. The fact that they have a variety of sizes, one of which spans nearly the length of my cabinet is a gold star plus. The toilet rug is wider than most, which is also nice. The aqua color is dreamy, just the right shade, not too dark or too light. To me, the color is just right and lovely. Standing on this rug is quite comfortable to my feet since the rubber backing is thick and helps to add cushioning. The yarn count is thick and looks luxurious and feels soft. The depth of the yarns are long enough to add to the plushness, but not enough to ruin a new pedicure if one is careful. So far I am so happy with the look and feel of these rugs!Since I just received them, I haven’t needed to wash them as yet. Hopefully I will remember to update this post when I first wash. If you don’t see an added post, the washing must have gone well, if bad that would definitely get me back on to make a complaint. The rugs seem to be made well, so I’m not anticipating a problem. I did see a reviewer mention loose yarns. Anyone whom has hooked a rug or done any knitting will know that some loose yarns, especially after trimming,is not unusual. Time will tell.Update, I washed my set of bath rugs and they both came out beautifully fluffy and no fading. Also, in regards to those that complained about loose yarn; there were no loose yarns left behind in either my washer or the dryer. I gave both rugs a hard shake and still no yarns flew off. Both rugs look great and are so soft to walk upon. I’m in process of-updating my hall or guest bath. I will definitely be purchasing a set of these rugs for that space. Highly recommend.

Super nice, quite plush and I love the color of the Dusty Pink!

We've had this rug for over a year now. It does alright. It was smaller than what we expected it to be, but that's on us for not measuring properly. Just a note, if you throw this rug in the wash, and then the dryer the non-stick backing will come off bit by bit. So, we air dry it. Not bad. It's soft and absorbs the water well.

I love this rug. It's so soft, and my favorite color! It's also wider than my last one, which I really like. Good quality, too. I would definitely purchase this again.

I purchased 4, 2 smaller, 2 large. First the color - I chose the taupe gray. It is exactly as described - browner than gray - but not at all like the photo. The photo looks much more gray. I actually needed a taupe so I rolled the dice. Turned out right for me. Second, the material of the mat. The nap is very - how shall I describe it - furry. It is not a loop carpet. The fibers are a bit frayed at the ends so it ends up feeling and looking a tad furry. Plus the strands are a bit longer - adding to the fur like look. I am still on the fence of the look of that - but I could see how those things may make the fibers more absorbent. We shall see. I am hoping they don't crush too easily and recover after each use. It is rubber backed (they note on the tag that you want to be sure not to have water underneath the rug as it could "slide on the water" Hmmm - I'll watch out for that - but it IS a bathroom rug - with water.) They did wash up in the washing machine (I used the delicate cycle) and low temp in the tumble portion of my dryer closet. No issues and very little lent - again, a bit of furry like fuzz. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful.

I like that these rugs come in so many sizes and colors and just the size I wanted. I ordered the 24x40 and the one to wrap around the toilet. The rugs are reasonably plush and feel good on bare feet and the rubbery backing make sure they stay put.The first of the larger rugs I got was not cut square so I returned it. The second one was cut better but one corner would not lay flat due to the way the backing was affixed. I tried rolling the edge under and leaving it that way for a couple of days but it continued to lift up at the edge and be a possible trip point. I returned these. Twice I have emailed at the email address they provide and have gotten no response. I didn't take a third try.

When these mats arrived (navy and dark gray), I was thrilled at how soft they felt, and I couldn't wait to use them. Then we used them. We've been married nearly 59 years, and never before have we encountered anything as poor as these mats. They weren't particularly absorbent, unless we were first in the shower or tiptoed until we found a dry spot. Wet spots usually squished. We have no children to take a long time in the tub or shower; it's just the two of us, and we don't take long (especially when our feet won't stay dry while we're standing on one of the mats).We stopped using them after three washings. The mats shed increasing amounts of "dandruff" with each use. There was no getting rid of the stuff; each speck of dandruff/lint stuck in the mat like a porcupine's quills. We experimented before the second use just to be sure we hadn't overlooked emptying the dryer filter beforehand on the initial washing, but that wasn't the problem either time. After the third washing, they went into a bag at the bottom of the linen closet in case of an emergency. I feel like we may as well have taken the money that we spent on them and thrown it into the trash, because we had to buy new ones.I do need to say that we're very careful when washing and drying just about everything, even my husband's old T shirts that I use as rags. We made sure the mats were washed in cold water on a gentle cycle and we set the dryer on medium-low heat (when we set it on low, we had to make repeated trips to the dryer to restart it, and the dryer is only a year or two old).I do want to say that a couple of years ago, we bought another Walensee product, a throw for the bed, and after a couple of washings to remove a strange smell and quite a bit of lint, it's been great; it's nice and soft. The mats? No way. In my opinion, they should never have been approved for sale.I wish I didn't have anything negative to say about the mats, but, unfortunately, I can't think of any positives, and I really think people need to know what they're buying. If anyone has had a different experience with them, PLEASE write a review and let us know what you did to avoid the porcupine scenario, and I'll apologize to Walensee if I missed something obvious. This rug is great! It's thick and plush, doesn't slip around and I love the "green" color that I ordered. Good Quality and very soft. Very happy!

Leider hat sich im praktischen Gebrauch nach einem halben Jahr Nutzung gezeigt, dass der Teppich bei häufiger vorschriftsmäßiger Wäsche schnell verfilzt. Sehr Umschwünge und sehr schade.

Look and feel is great. Nice color, thick and soft pile. Good size, although it is slipping on the ceramic tiles I have. Need to put a grip underneath. Wash it in cold water!

This mat exceeded my expectations while still being affordable. I had ordered a different bathroom mat from a different seller that was 20% cheaper but looked like cheap trash. This one is plush, looks luxurious, stays in place on the floor, and it so comfortable!I haven’t tried washing it yet in the washing machine yet but I did a light vacuum with no difficulties. I may order again to get a larger one now that I know how great it is!
