Really pleased with this, cheaper than renting
I was hesitant before buying this, wondering if it could really be any good at this price. I'm amazed that it is in fact a better piece of kit than the strimmer I rented a few weeks before buying this (and a weeks rental cost £100!). I've used this to clear several hundred sqm of nettles and brambles using a blade, and it hasn't struggled at all. It is a little heavy and the vibration does get to you with prolonged use, but overall I'm really pleased. Worth buying a funnel for refuelling though, as the supplied bottle makes a huge mess otherwise. <Update after almost a year> Still very happy. Longer sessions of very heavy duty use (brambles over an inch using a blade) and it does occasionally cut out - I suspect there is dirt in the fuel lines. It has occasionally popped out of the harness. But I have saved myself hundreds in hiring equipment.

Great bit of kit!
I bought this to clear moss and weeds from a neglected lock block driveway. Added a 20cm (8”) wire brush head to do the job. Cleared the weeds and growth from the sides of the drive in less than an hour the first day. Cleared the moss and weeds from the lock block over the next couple of days. It’s a long wide driveway, but this made quick work of it. Advice: read the instructions for fuel (super unleaded), for two-stroke oil (semi-synthetic), use the mix bottle to get the 40:1 ratio right. Six or seven squeezes of the fuel priming bulb, set the choke, it’ll start first pull. Let the motor run without any load for about 15 seconds before switching it off. Drain any remaining fuel/oil mix. Repeat from start next time you need to use it. Ear , eye and hand protection are essential. Shorts not recommended when the moss, weeds and loose soil are flying :)

DO NOT BUY - WARRANTY IS USELESS
Was initially pleased with this strimmer - it seemed to work well and the quality felt ok at the price. However, that all changed after the engine seized mid use. I contacted warranty support who asked me to verify the engine had definitely seized. I sent them a video and they requested I (i) empty all fluids and (ii) return it to them for a repair. Unfortunately, having diligently repackaged it, the courier then failed to collect the parcel for a week. I kind of put that down to the courier company and it was then collected, albeit with a load of hassle trying to sort. However, things then deteriorated when Hyundai got in touch to say that they were refusing the repair on the basis "there was no evidence of oil use" unless i paid over a £100 for the repair!! Of course, I pointed out that I had used oil on each and every occasion of using the strimmer and, had they not asked me to drain the strimmer before returning, that would of been clear from the petrol in the tank (which was mixed with the oil)! Despite that, they are simply refusing to repair unless i pay. In the circumstances, I then contacted Amazon who sprang to the rescue and agreed an immediate refund. Good old Amazon! However, it is completely out of order that Genpower (who are the customer services for Hyundai) appear to think they have me over a barrel and can simply refuse to repair within the warranty period despite me having followed the instructions to a tee. So, all in all, I would avoid this like the plague. The warranty is meaningless. BUYER BEWARE.

Good product
Put together relatively easy though i had to re do the strimmer twine. Starting the first time was quite difficult as it wouldnt start on choke ( i have a petrol chain saw that does the same) a couple of pulls on choke then take it off and it starts. Iv started using it to strim a very large garden. It works well once iv sorted out weight distribution with the harness. On the whole a good tool hence the 5 stars. Pic shows some of the grass iv strimmed which was very long and wet

Great so far. Great value
I like it! I needed a strimmer and a brush cutter so I wasn't looking for a cheap 'professional' grass strimmer, needed something with the bull horn handle and the capacity to attach a metal blade. And, as this was so cheap I figured I'd give it a go. It seems great! Starts well and has power. Cuts stuff well and the bump head works well. I ran a gardening business for years so I'm used to using more expensive brush cutters, This replaced my £750 Tanaka brush cutter which finally died after 17years, and my cheap Stihl grass strimmer. And I am very happy with it for domestic use on grass edging and some scrub clearance (bracken and brambles). Only negative is it I am still struggling to work out how to set the handles up comfortably for my shape and so it still cuts level with the ground. I think the bull bar isn't as wide as I need so my wrist is at a silly angle and aches after 45mins or so. Let's hope it has a long and useful working life with me!

Great strimmer
Excelent strimmer, easy to use and easy to start. Fairly heavy but very good quality and robust enough to last many years.
