Best cleanser I have found for my sensitive skin and at a reasonable price.

Holy grail face wash. Will always use this as the first step of my double cleanse. Removed makeup in a breeze. Once it’s melted into your skin it feels a lovely consistency and even though it’s ultimately oil based it doesn’t feel greasy to me. It washes my face without feeling stripping. I can have temperamental congested skin, but it doesn’t cause breakouts and helps me prevent barrier damage from overuse of actives.

An excellent cream, it spreads very well and perfectly cleanses the skin of the face after makeup, leaving it completely clean, much more so than after regular makeup removal milks.

My wife uses this as part of her evening skincare routine and really rates it. It does a good job of removing makeup without stripping the skin or leaving it feeling tight afterwards. The texture is a bit unusual at first, sort of like a balm that melts into an oil, but once you get used to it it's really nice to use. A little goes a long way so the 150ml bottle has lasted months. Only knocking off a star because the cap can be a bit fiddly to open with wet hands but that's a minor thing really. For the price point compared to some other cleansers out there it's excellent value and does exactly what it says on the bottle.

Switched from a hot cloth cleanser which I have used for years to this as my skin now needs some extra hydration. Have been using for over a week now and I love it! So gentle and hydrating, doesn’t sting eyes either. The formula is a gel that massages to oil which I was skeptical about at first as my skin is oily and acne prone but I’ve had no break outs at all, my skin is more healthy and hydrated than ever! Starting using the ordinary hylaronic acid serum too as a step after cleansing / before moisturising! Love the ordinary!

Der „The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser“ ist für mich ganz klar einer der besten Hautreiniger, die ich bisher verwendet habe. Ich nutze ihn regelmäßig und bin jedes Mal begeistert. Die Textur ist besonders angenehm. Anfangs wirkt sie fast wie eine leichte Creme. Dadurch lassen sich Make-up, Schmutz und überschüssiger Talg mühelos entfernen, ohne die Haut zu reizen. Was ich besonders schätze, ist die feuchtigkeitsspendende Wirkung. Nach der Reinigung fühlt sich die Haut nicht trocken oder gespannt an, sondern weich, gepflegt und ausgeglichen. Gerade für empfindliche oder trockene Haut ist das ein großer Vorteil. Insgesamt ein extrem zuverlässiges, sanftes und gleichzeitig effektives Produkt. Für mich definitiv ein fester Bestandteil meiner Pflegeroutine und eine klare Empfehlung.

Okay, I bought this on a whim. I have pretty severe sebaceous hyperplasia. I have had chemical peels. I’ve had them burned off, frozen, I’ve used topical retin A from my dermatologist. It always rages back. I saw a review say this stuff shrinks them and makes them much less visible. I was put off by the price, but let’s face it, I’ve dropped a lot more than this.My first wash, I did not use anything to remove my make up. I wanted to see if this got rid of it by what was left when I used my toner. Initially, I thought this stuff would be greasy. IT IS NOT! It COMPLETELY MELTED MY MAKE UP AWAY! I have used it daily for about two weeks. It is unlike anything I have ever used. It leaves my face clean, but not dry. It isn’t oily either, like some make up removers that then require soap and water. I have purchased most of the face cleaners in Ulta. I have never, in my oily 57 years, used anything like this. The price point is amazing considering what it does. It even removed my waterproof mascara???? I don’t know what is in this, and frankly I do not care. It’s hot where I live, and my SH is not growing. My skin feels clean. It’s not dry. It’s not greasy. I write reviews only occasionally, but I want others who have struggled with oily skin issues for years to know there’s something out there for us. I can’t speak to dry skin, but it feels extremely gentle. Am I rid of my excess oil completely? No, but I have other solutions in my toolbox for that. I will do without other things to buy this again and again. I love other products from The Ordinary, but THIS one is the Holy Grail. I still have bumps from SH. However, they are almost flat, and much less noticeable. For my fellow sufferers out there, this helped me. They’re no longer the first thing I see when I look in the mirror. I don’t feel like people see them and wonder what the heck is on my face. Many thanks to The Ordinary for a decently priced, effective product that does what it says.
