Works the Best For My Dog
My dog has been on this particular brand of probiotics for 5 years. I have tried others (even the more expensive ones) but they did not work nearly as well as this product does - keeps his stools firm, mixes well in his food, and he has no problems eating it.

So far so good.
I ordered this for my cat which either has IBS, food intolerance or both. Recently, she seemed to be having an GI upset episode, which starts with nasty smelling poop and usually turns into uncontrollable diarrhea. (not fun for either of us) Anyways, i was fearing for the worse. At the same time, the vet wanted me to put her on a antibiotic for a lung infection. And of course the possible side effect of the antibiotic is diarrhea :( So, i wanted to deal with her IBS issue before giving her the antibiotic. I was a bit concerned when i purchased this for my picky cat due to the small people reported in the reviews. She's gone on a hunger strike previously with other supplements. She will refuse her meals until i stop "poisoning" her food. Anyways, after giving it a good whiff, I didn't detect a smell. So, I started her off with a 1/32 of a teaspoon on her dry food. She ate it with out a problem. I also added some another 1/16 of a tea spoon to some herbal anti diarrhea herbal meds that i giver her during flair ups. Cant say if it was the probiotics, but with in a day her symptoms improved to normal, for her. A few days later, I started her on the antibiotics and took her off of the herbal anti diarrhea meds. To get her to take more probiotics at one sitting and to reduce her inhaling the probiotic dust, I've started mixing the probiotic with salt free tuna juice and administering with a syringe. She tolerated it just fine. So far so good. I'll post an update if anything changes.

I bought this because my 9yr old 60 lb. female red nose Staffordshire would get itchy every spring. Other than springtime sensivities I believed her to be in great condition. As she aged the springtime problems got worse every year. She had had cortisone shots and prednisone pills in the past which helped her get thru the worst months but I knew the side effects were no good for her or me. Early last spring, while dreading those warmer months coming on for my girl Seri, I started researching different approaches to help her thru the miserably itchy time of year. I decided to try this probiotic for her and started with a half of scoop (1/2 dose) a.m. and p.m. to get her used to it. I sprinkled it on her kibble. She didn't seem to mind the powder, but for some reason she slowed her bites down and chewed more which was a good thing. Even though she was not in full itch mode at the time, what symptoms their were, started abating within 4 days. I gradually brought her up to full dose and kept her there to this day. Her itching went away and never fully materialized again. I have tried to lower her dose a couple times, but when I do, she shows signs of the itch coming back. So I don't hesitate to bring her back up to full dose right away. Even tho she used to make it thru the cold months fine, I will continue a probiotic, likely for the rest of her life. Seri has had a very active life and is still very active. In fact excercise was most important when she was in her itchy phases - it would take the edge off. As she got older she developed a periodic limp in her front shoulder. She also had a tendency for weight fluctuations and bloat. With this product all of that went away as well. Her coat became softer and her smell is sweeter too. She is overall a very happy, playful and balanced girl dog. Still going horseback and bike riding with me and in great condition. I do know she would not be as healthy if I had not started her on this probiotic 8 months ago. It gives me new hope for my 4 legged partner in her golden years. 4 months ago I put her on a New food that is very low in simple carbs. The least amount of grains, peas or potatoes I could find. I wish it were easier to find a dog food that is made the way it was 40 yrs ago; out of the things that were good for dogs. It has changed for the worse. Poor puppies. Thought about a raw diet but that seemed extreme for a 9 yr old. Aaah well. Hope this helps someone with their dog. If your dog is young and you are starting to see some itchy ear and coat problems, whether all year or certain times of the year, make some changes now because the symptoms get worse as they age. There is no getting around it. Also excercise your friend, large or small. There is no substitute for a hike-about, Even a short one. A yard, no matter how big is nothing but a fish bowl. If you listen, you can hear the frustration in a dogs barking in your neighborhood that is stuck in a fish bowl 24/7. Take them out regularly and that frustrated barking, digging, fence fighting etc. Will go away. Good Luck All. Thanks!

Worked for my cat's stress issues!
My cat was developing ongoing spouts of bloody diarrhea and vomiting undigested food. I know his health was in good condition because I recently did a full blood work panel on him and just got a dental, but the too many trips to the vet and the addition of a new pet (190lbs mastiff) was making him really stressed. The dog always left him alone so it wasn't like he is being chased around. We did a couple of things and I think the combination helped him tremendously. First, I started with the therapeutic dose of 1 scoop of this probiotics sprinkled over his grain-free food (1/4 cup of dry food am + 1/2 scoop probiotics and repeat pm). After a week, he no longer had the bloody diarrhea so I lowered the dosage to maintenance (1/2 scoop total per day) and bought a feliaway diffuser to keep him more relaxed. After a month he only vomited once, but its because he ate too fast. We also blocked off the kitchen with a dog gate (but has a smaller door that lets him in) so he can go into the laundry room were his food and cat litter is so he can eat and poop in peace. The probiotics definitely helped his digestion and he hasn't vomited again and his feces are looking good again. I'll be keeping him on the maintenance dosage for the rest of his life. Now, I started my 10 year old mastiff on this for his gas, but I might switch him to the miracle probiotics and keep this probiotics for my cat, because after just a week of the maintenance dose (2 scoops per day) it has almost run out. It gets more expensive if you have a dog over 60lbs and doesn't last as long. Also as far as the taste, I sprinkled this over both of their dry food and neither had any issue eating their food, but neither of them are picky eaters to begin with.

Great product
Works great. I have to make a gravey out of it and pour over his dog food. But then he will eat it

My cat used to have this mixed together with her wet food. Really improved her gut / digestion.

Iโve been using this for a while now & our dog has settled very nicely on it. Please note that although it is expensive, I only use half dose & it still works really well. It contains a good variety of different strains & also the important Bifidobacterium Longum, which according to new research, helps dogs be calmer & less reactive. This strain is not available in the UK yet, so I was pleased to find it included in this product. Also using it at very low dose for my IBD cat & so far, so good.

14 strains of micro-organisms versus 1 strain in the type we used to use! Very effective. The package suggests putting it on food, but you can also moisten a scoop with water and spoon it into the corner of a dog's mouth, maybe a cat's depending on your cat, so you can still use it if low appetite, or withholding a meal, or going with the human recommendation that probiotics be taken on an empty stomach.

Mixes easily into the food and is palatable since dog eats it up without a fuss. His tummy seems to be holding so it's doing the job well.
