Scotch guard fabric water shield does a great job protecting my upholstered chairs and couch from my young children and animals. It prevents the liquid of spills from soaking in right away allowing me to clean it up before it soaks in and stain. It does NOT prevent stains if you don’t clean up spills right away! Scotch guard allows me to have nice furniture with young children. I also like using scotch guard on my shoes to prevent them from getting destroyed by the elements outside!
