Nordic Ware Baby Bunny Cakelet, 4.5 Cup Capacity, Toffee

I had such fun making teeny, tiny bunny cakes with this Nordic Ware pan. I LOVE the bunny shapes and that there are little differences between them. I'm already a Nordic Ware fan, so I felt confident going in that everything would be okay. When in doubt, always follow the instructions they include with your pan, and don't throw it away. It might seem like the prudent thing to do if your batter can fill all the bunny holes, but only fill them to two-thirds, or you'll be doing quite a bit of trimming. I think to maintain definition of the bunnies, it's best to either use a light glaze or no glaze or frosting at all. I frosted the bottoms and schmooshed them into a dish of sprinkles. The size is large enough to accommodate the batter from a standard grocery-store cake mix, and you'll have some leftover if you follow Nordic Ware's instructions, so be prepared with a small cupcake pan. Nordic Ware pans are high-quality and designed to last a lifetime, but you have to be reasonable and take care of them. They're non-stick if you butter them and dust lightly with flour. It works really well even with the more intricately designed pans. I think Nordic Ware pans are worth every penny, and I also think they're a bit under-priced for what you get. I also got this bunny pan on sale--a stroke of luck, as it had been in my wish list for quite some time.

Nordic Pans are always reliable and well-made with a hefty feel, and this bunny pan is no exception. The rabbits are cute, and of a good size for individual cakes. The outer carrot design border is a bonus detail, and makes the pan attractive to display. Brushing the pan with butter or cooking oil and lightly sprinkling flour will make the design pop, and I've never burned a cake in a Nordic pan, as they cook evenly. I've been buying Nordic pans for years, and like the gold and bronze colors of the newer pans. Very happy with my purchase!

I find the little rabbits so charming; who can resist a baby bunny cake? And I can use this for corn bread too at Thanksgiving! This is definitely a high quality, sturdy item that works smoothly and well. It is easy to clean too. Perfect for any special event! Also a great gift for a rabbit lover!

Nordic Ware made a cute bunny pan. I have used it once and the bunnies came out great. I just wanted to try it out and used some extra cake batter I had. I am happy with this pan and would purchase it again. If you haven’t purchased any Nordic Ware yet, I highly encourage you to. They make nice, heavy baking pans that don’t stick and will last for years. I always hand wash mine though they’re supposed to be dishwasher safe.

This is the second one of these I have purchased. I bought it for my Mom because she was always borrowing mine. She has so much fun making little cake bunnies for Easter! If you follow the directions and grease/flour the pan, the bunnies pop right out. I use a soft toothbrush to clean the crevices. Worth the extra clean-up because the bunnies are so stinking cute!

The pan is adorable and easy to use. My cakelets released easily. As has been mentioned before, do not fill to the rim with batter. I found very little information on how this pan would work using a boxed cake mix. I reached out to Nordicware customer service, but they had no guidance other than to paste their website info. (thanks 🙄) So I decided to give it a try. While still delicious and still released easily, the cakelets are barely recognizable as bunnies. So I knocked off a star for assuming everyone wants to bake from scratch every time. Tempting to knock off another for having worthless customer service.
