It’s a solid gate once it’s up and functioning, but getting it installed? Well, that’s a different story. What You’re Getting: The Gate: The gate itself is sturdy, looks good, and has the potential to make your pool area safe and secure. It’s a nice size, too—big enough for easy access, small enough to not be too obnoxious. The Installation Process: If you like drilling holes, twisting wrenches, and sweating like you're building a shed, this gate is for you! The instructions made it sound simple, but somewhere between “just drill a hole” and “secure the gate” I found myself wishing I had taken a workshop class. Drilling into concrete or whatever tough material this was made of? A workout. Powder Coating: It’s powder-coated, so I’m assuming that’s great for weather resistance.
