They can be used when you can’t pack your free weights .. but can be used in conjunction with weights and body weight so yes they can assist in building body mass.. **Q: Hi are these bands layered latex or moulded?** A: Not sure I can answer that except to say they are excellent and I use them very regularly. I’m very happy with them. **Q: What weight can these support for assisted pull ups?** A: I’m 110kg no issues **Q: I'm +90kg and weak so will probably rely heavily on the band for a pull up, will this break/snap with my weight?** A: I'm about 83Kg and they are fine used with a pull up bar, they are good quality and have been ok for the last year. I would suggest just practicing hanging initially, maybe even take some weight off by resting your feet on the ground. Also try negative pull ups, start at the top and lower yourself slowly. It will takes months to build up if you are starting from a low base.
