This sauce is the exact sauce used in the mall chinese bourbon chicken. The sauce is only half the battle though, personally the way the chicken is cooked also plays a large part in the flavor as well. After a couple different methods this is the one I've have found most closely resembles the mall style taste and texture. First, I trimmed the fat off of boneless chicken thighs and marinaded them in the sauce marinade about 3 hours with salt and pepper on the chicken as well. Next, I placed about 4 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet and let heat as I cut up the marinaded pieces into small chunks. I then cooked the chicken in the oil for about 15 minutes until cooked throughout. I removed the chicken and placed it on some paper towels. Pat dry and completely drain and wipe the skillet and re-add chicken chunks back in with no more oil added, just chicken. Sear the chicken about 3-5 min on high (or less time depending on the amount of chicken used) then turn to medium and add your bourbon dipping sauce. Finally, turn back to high to cook off some liquid in the sauce for about 1-2 min then remove from heat and let sauce thicken. Personally, mall bourbon chicken would be my last meal I ever ate if on death row or placed in a last meal situation. So to recreate this as best as possible to a T is my life's work and I'm content with this.

Great product for those of us who like very tasty shortcuts in grilling. Hard to find, was glad to be able to get it here. I cheat and use the grilling sauce to make glazed carrots. Everyone things I have a "special recipe" ha ha.
