Review: Really helpful for calculating and understanding my market value - The beginning of the book is a quick overview of how companies manage all their salary information, and how that affects salaries, promotions, and raises. Then it talks about how to estimate your market value. This combination really puts things in perspective. It helped me understand that companies pay people for their "skillset and experience" (that phrase is used a lot in the book). This sets the stage for interviewing and negotiating in the second part of the book. I have a totally different perspecive on compensation now that I understand what it looks like from the company's perspective. Review: Effective! - Very helpful book which shows you step by step the process you should follow from the very beginning. Josh Doody is also amazing, very quick in replying to any enquiry you might have; setting an amazing example of a good, caring and approachable author.

Moving jobs or want a raise? Read this book!
I highly recommend this book, it’s packed full of great hints and tips for how you can successfully negotiate a new or existing salary. You are taken step by step through exactly what to say at each stage of the process, and the suggested email scripts were especially useful. Well worth a read if you want to boost your existing salary or are looking for a new job.

Good book, although wildly overpriced
I think that the book is very well written, and it covers a very important topic in detail, in a way that software engineers may not think. It's definitely overpriced, though.

Every working adult should read this book.
I saw this book referenced in an article that I read (I think that it was a Glassdoor article), and I was looking for a new, easy-read career book, so I immediately looked it up and bought it. The book is a really good guide to salary negotiation, so it lives up to the title, but it provides a lot more value by also covering the interview process, coming up with a counteroffer to a job offer, getting a promotion, getting a raise and leaving a job on great terms. The book explains the logic behind why employers make certain decisions about compensation and hiring and why you'll increase your chances of being successful if you follow the author's advice. It's a notably engaging book, and there are a lot of scripts and templates included, so when you're in one of the situations that the book covers, you can easily create a winning plan and response. The author's approach to the topics just makes sense, and I've got no doubt that I'll use this as a reference for years. Considering that I bought it for salary negotiation, the book over-delivers. 5-stars!

Insider's look at how promotions work
Bought the book on Kindle. Really loved getting an insider's look at how the hiring and promotion process works. Good for confidence when you're headed in to talk to the boss during your annual review!

Decent Tips
Decent Tips but nothing special that you wouldn't get from good blog posts etc on same subject. May be more useful for people who just started working. And expensive for the content shared in the book.
