Is it good for carving?

You’ll want something with a smaller blade for actual carving. I mean if you’re just wanting to sharpen a stick any decently sharp blade would do regardless of size. If you’re wanting to do some detailed whittling, get yourself a smaller blade.

How do you close the blade ?

There is a flange in the handle next to where the blade sits. Just move that slightly to the side, which is removing the blade lock the flange provides and simply close the knife. Took me awhile to figure it out the first time I came across a knife with this type of mechanism also. Turns out, it is a fairly common system so any other knife of this type will close the same way.

Used a couple times and lost a screw already and screws in pocket clip falling out....is that normal?

i bought a simple set of small drivers on Amazon to fit knives. use it to tighten the screws.
