Overall it's a very good machine and is well worth the money
Ordered this for Christmas. On Christmas day, we filled both reservoirs and the unit began leaking at the bottom rear. We immediately dumped the water, dried it, and packed it back up. Reported the issue to Amazon who gave us a free shipping label. We returned it the following day (Tuesday). Amazon had shipped a replacement before we had dropped the bad unit at UPS. We received the new unit Friday. Sat it over the sink, filled both reservoirs to their max point and let it sit for half the day. No leaks. The coffee maker has multiple heat settings for the burner (we have ours set on Medium), allows users to select how long the burner will stay on (we set ours to 3 hours - max is 4), and has a programmable auto on/off setting. Love this machine! It comes with a gold permanent filter basket and about 10 white paper cone filters. It's easy to program. I would have liked for the clock to be back lit as it's a bit difficult to view when you're programming the settings. The unit beeps 5 times once the coffee is done perking which can be a bit annoying if you're trying to sleep when it goes off. The water heater works very well. Not sure exactly what temperature it gets to, but there's certainly steam coming out of the unit when you dispense the water. Overall it's a very good machine and (after the first dud) is well worth the money.

Nice Coffee Hot Water Maker
I havenโt had it long enough to give a proper review. But I can say, itโs what I wanted. A ten cup coffee maker, with a timer and hot water at a descent price. Flavor wise itโs fine, I guess, itโs still new and Iโm working on how much coffee to put in. Cleaning is relatively easy. But cleaning a coffee maker is never fun. Only four stars โcause some grounds escape here and there. The hot water maker is OK. I wish it held more water. I was kinda hoping small rodents would use it to shower but none did. It could be because it doesnโt hold enough water or that I keep a clean house. I live overseas, the shipping was reasonable and the item was delivered in a timely manner.

It makes coffee and tea, Its just what I need!
Had it for about 2weeks now, and so far it does everything as promised with no leaks! My biggest complaints about it are as follows... 1. The dripper tray under the hot water pour is not attached to the base in any way, leaving me to have to carefully wipe around it, or the pieces will go flying. 2. The carafe lid does not always align correctly to the pour spout, making the coffee drip out to the side. 3. You have to tilt the carafe all the way over (almost upside down) to get the last cup (annoying, but not the worst) 4. The coffee takes forever to pour with the lid on, and I have adjusted, but not moved on. 5. I have noticed that on the bottom of every cup there is a dark "sludge" for lack of a better word, its not gross, just new to me. My husband thinks its because we are brewing the coffee to strong. Probably why it takes so long to pour, haha. 6. I worry about all the steam as if wafts up over the electronic features, as I worry that it will someday become a problem with their ability to function. A few things to love... 1. Even though it can be hard to pour water into the basin, the lid is shaped just so, so that if you miss the water will not spill over behind the machine. 2. If you love HOT coffee, this machine is for you. Same with the tea. No idea how long this will keep up, but its been great so far. 3. The filter does a great job, not a ground yet to be found in my cup! 4. It looks good on my counter! 5. Though I thought I would use the timing option more, it is still really easy to use and set up. It also functioned marvelously. Overall the husband and I agree that we have good feelings about the machine, and rated it at four stars because of a few minor things that we felt could have been improved upon with little thought by the manufacturer. Hope that was helpful!

Better than a Keurig!!
Love it! I followed the instructions and cleaned and prepped the machine. Got the water filters all set up and I'm very pleased with how simple it is to use. It brewed steaming hot coffee in minutes. I even used the hot water dispenser for tea. I love that feature! My kids love hot chocolate and ramen noodle soup and I love my tea. This is a whole family pleaser. It's more than just a coffee pot. I was debating on this or a keurig, but my husband said he'd rather have a full pot and not just one cup. Plus the k cups are expensive (I know u can use a reusable filter for them too, but I also know that I would end up just buying the disposable ones). So we went with this because it does give the hot water dispenser for tea, hot chocolate, etc. Plus it has a 1-4 cup setting for making a smaller amount of coffee. PERFECT!

Warranties Don't Matter to Cuisinart
I hate writing this type of review but I feel like others need to understand about this coffee maker that you can't get anywhere but here on Amazon. I purchased this coffee maker the first week in August of last year, so it isn't even a year old. About a week before things started going bad I noticed that it stopped being able to hold onto it's programming, start and stop times, clock...etc. At first I just figured the power in the house must have gone off so I just entered the programming again. It wasn't the power in the house. By the end of the week the LCD display just got dimmer and dimmer until it finally just disappeared altogether. It simply died!!! Here's the problem, I loved that coffee maker, so much so that I ordered another Cuisinart Coffee Maker the day it went out. I ordered the Cuisinart DCC-2650 Brew Central 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker that's how much I loved their coffee makers. My thoughts were that first I had to replace the coffee maker ASAP. I don't know about you guys but I have to have my coffee the in the morning. I knew that this Cuisinart was still under warranty so I figured when Cuisinart understood that it died they'd either repair it or replace it, that's when the motivation for writing this review came from, they stated they would repair it as soon as I shipped to them in Arizona. NO SHIPPING LABEL was offered or received and the cost of shipping to AZ was going to run around $25.00 dollars through UPS ground. Really??? The customer has to pay more for a defective coffee maker??? I don't think I've run accross this before where the customer is responsible for shipping costs for a warranted defective item. Now that I know how little Cuisinart stands behind their products the last coffee maker I ordered from them will in fact be my LAST Cuisinart product. Less then a year and I have to shell out more money for a repair??? My husband said to just throw it in the trash and forget about it. I guess that's what I'll do but boy it really makes me angry that Cuisinart has figured out how to avoid warranty claims. $25.00 dollars for an $85.00 dollar coffee maker makes no sense at all for us to ship it to AZ and hope that it gets fixed, not going to happen. Please be careful when you buy from Cuisinart as it seems they don't like warranty work. Thanks for taking the time to read this and hopefully my bad luck with Cuisinart will be avoided by some. BTW, when it worked it was a great coffee maker.

So THIS is what coffee should taste like!
This is day one of ownership so I cannot vouch for longevity. I used a keurig with a refillable k-cup for years. I used the same type of coffee in my new coffee maker this morning and the improvement in flavor is very pronounced. So much better! And it brewed very fast. I'm making a mental not that when it takes longer to brew the machine must need cleaning. I can vouch that the pause and serve works perfectly. I loved the instant hot water feature of the keurig, that's what drew me to this model besides the thermal cafe. My son made himself a cup of hot chocolate last night, was great. I will say it takes the hot water much longer to heat up in this machine than it did the keurig, but it's not that bad. Maybe the first use took longer, time will tell. I'm so excited to have thermal cafe. My home office is upstairs and I was sick of walking up and down the stairs when I wanted a cup of coffee. I did prefer adding water to the keurig over this machine only because of the set up of my kitchen, I was able to not even move the machine and add water from my kitchen sing (my faucet comes of the handle) but with this machine I have to pull it out forward, away from my cabinets to access the lid. It's been a while since I had a real coffee maker and I found it challenging to get the water into the reservoir without getting some in the basket (which is bad, that water goes straight down into the carafe so be careful). I found that it was easier to fill up a measuring cup and pour in due to the spout. The taste of the coffee is soooooooooo much better. That's my main love! (and the great sale I took advantage of)

Not great
I had higher hopes and expectations for a Cuisinart coffee maker. There are details that shouldโve been addressed: - The outside of the machine steams up when brewing. Steam seeps out from the seams of the machine. Looks like a quality control issue during manufacturing. There are multiple other reviews with the same complaint. - The machine broke after 1 year. The nature of the break was dangerous - the machine continued to heat up after completing a brew cycle, until the entire unit (top to bottom) burned my hand when I touched it. Looks like itโs missing a few critical safety checks. - The top never fit right. The top of the brew basket never sit properly in the machine. I tried replacing the wire basket, adjusting the machine, etc. The problem was that the top literally does not fit. The coffee was delicious, and the carafe was OK at keeping the coffee warm throughout the day. But overall, I was disappointed with the unit and wouldnโt buy it again - it isnโt up to Cuisinartโs usual standards for quality kitchen appliances.

Electronics problem
The coffee maker that I purchased has problems with the electronics 1. It would do auto brew just fine but, when I switched to brew and pressed the on/off button the Auto brew light would come on. I would have to cycle the on/off button several times and move the brew selector around then the auto brew light would go off. 2. Once I pressed the on/off button, the on/off button light would go out after a few seconds (No the 1 to 4 cups was not selected). It would brew 2 cups or so then go out. I would have to press it several times before it would stay on. 3. This would happen the first time. After that, no problem unless you switched back to auto brew or vis versa or unplugged the unit. If you did this, you would have to repeat the process all over again. Do I like the coffee it makes? Sure, makes a great cup of coffee once you go through the process. Lol.

Read directions for settings before use.
Love it. Like the fact that it keeps coffee warm for 4 hrs. at a time and you can reduce temperature as it gets emptier. Also convenient to boil water for tea or hot chocolate on the other side. Only thing I wish it had is single coffee maker on the side in this red coloured Cuisinart like the silver one does.

The programming feature is wonderful and I love how it can brew smaller batches ...
My husband got me this coffee machine for christmas. Ive been using it daily ever since! The programming feature is wonderful and I love how it can brew smaller batches of coffee. Though I dont use the hot water system as often, I have really enjoyed having it. Especially when I have visitors who are tea drinkers. So far, we havent had any major issues with this machine. My only (small) issues: the thermos is hard to clean and the water dispenser isn't very big so I need to refill it more often than I would like. Otherwise, excellent coffee machine. I love it!

Pretty decent
Keeps my coffee nice and warm for about 4-6 hours during the day which is exactly what I needed. It brews quickly and makes good coffee. I do wish the coffee pot had a hole large enough for my (rather little) hand to fit in to clean, it rather inconvenient that it doesn't gauge how much water is going into the pot so you have to guess how much water is enough until you pour it in the actually unit and the other issue I have is that in order to get all the contents from the coffee pot out, you need to tip it completely upside down (several times) so it can be a little messy. Overall it was a good enough purchase!

.
Thought the result could be hotter, after a few months, developed a bit of a leak/dribble in the front right corner, after heater starts to shut down after heating the water, no biggie for us, just wipe it up. Has been doing this now for 3 yrs I believe. Over all the equipment works for what we wanted it for.

Good product, but could have been better
Overall, I really like the concept. Have had the unit for 18 months. Hot water side stopped working at about month twelve. Coffee side still works well. Other complaints is the overall build quality is poor, power cable is way too short and the case leaks water when you lift it or move it. Would not recommend this product or buy it again.
