Good food, but I still prefer MREs.
These dishes are light, tasty, and easy to reconstitute. Comes with a free waterproof sack, it's been very sturdy. Although the meals are delicious, I still prefer MREs. These still have to be prepared, which doesn't save you time. You aren't saving any weight either, because you need the weight in water to reconstitute it. Overall, a good product, with much better value for money than mountain house.

In case of a emergency you will in good shape if something new comes up.
Nice to have food you dont have to worry about going bad or far from someplace to eat. Excellent to have in case of another Pandemic. I plan to spend 1 to 2 k to buy more. We can practice emergency drills.

Lightweight and good for camping or hiking
I bought this to take with me on a camping/backpacking trip and I really liked the variety of food that came in there and the very lightweight dry bag that it came with to store everything in. The food was okay, it was pretty much what you would expect from dehydrated food that you just put boiling water in, so it wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. I would recommend bringing some of your favorite spices along to spruce them up a little bit, but overall I would probably buy these again and would recommend them for short trips or for a survival situation but I definitely wouldn't eat them everyday.

Wrong menu
As others have stayed, wrong menu and older pouches. One pouch was ripped opened upon arrival. There's a reasonAmazon was 14$ cheaper than Midway USA.

not my first choice
We ordered this pack to see how READYWISE measures up to other freeze-dried long term storage foods out there (such as Patriot Supply and Mountain House). The first indication of lack of quality control: The kit ordered did not contain everything that was listed. Although the # of packs was correct, the items were not what was advertised. Missing was the noodles and beef and sliced banana. Instead, it included a pasta alfredo with chicken and cookie dough snacks. here's our review: NOTE: Yes, we DID remove the oxygen absorber prior to preparation: TREELINE TERIYAKI CHICKEN FRIED RICE- decent and edible. GOLDEN FIELDS MACARONI & CHEESE - upon opening chemical smell, upon preparation - unedible! Horrible chemical smell and the taste was even worse. We had to throw it out OLD COUNTRY PASTA ALFREDO WITH CHICKEN - edible if in survival conditions - weird chemical aftertaste. we took two bites and threw the rest out COOKIE DOUGH BITES - very sweet - enjoyable snack SUNRISE STRAWBERRY GRANOLA CRUNCH - decent - enjoyable we have not tried: Still Lake Lasagna with Sausage or the Appalachian Apple Cinnamon Cereal (looks like instant oatmeal). BOTTOM LINE: READYWISE seems to do well with some entrees, but really needs to go back to the drawing board with the others. we have not tasted anything else in this pack and honestly, a bit afraid to.

Great value
I do wish there was slight more room in the bag to add a few extra items. Like a protein bar and drink mix sticks.
