Practice Makes Perfect: Basic Portuguese, Premium Second Edition

I am really enjoying this workbook and the way things are explained. The app that goes along with the lessons help me understand the pronunciations and how I sound when recorded. I do find that it will be helpful if the super basic alphabet, numbers, and general introductions of sounding the letters would help in the beginning of the book. Overall, I am satisfied with the curriculum.

This work book is so well put together it has been a true god sent! I have been learning European Portuguese through 3 different apps and speaking with native speakers but nothing has clicked quite as well as this workbook. I would absolutely recommend any beginners or intermediate learners to purchase this book!

I am trying to brush up on my Portuguese and this book is a good start. I knew a lot of the answers so it was a good place to refresh my memory and also to motivate me to keep practicing.

I am currently studying European Portuguese. This book is exactly what I was looking for. It is written in both English and Portuguese, which is what I wanted. There are occasional noted Brazilian references, but the book is written for learning European Portuguese. Each section offers a lesson, vocabulary, examples, and written exercises. I am using the book as a partner to online learning. If you're looking for a good practice workbook, this is it.

I have searched high and low for an excellent European Portuguese primer workbook to no avail, until I found this one - excellent with a variety of great exercises that really help with language skills without being overwhelming. I am so very pleased, and ready for my next trip to Lisboa!

This book seems almost good enough to recommend to those serious about learning European Portuguese. The writer seems to have a nice grasp of language learning formats that make the learner comfortable. Thank you.

good for beginners, easy to understand, more helpful than Duolingo

I found this book well structured, great explainations and easy to follow. Really helped with A1/A2 and fabulous foundation for B1. Easy to adapt for oast and future tense revision.
