A really useful product for eliminating the irregularities in uneven surfaces to which a smoothing medium has been applied. As you sand the surface the black guide coat is removed first from the high spots thereby revealing the low spots which may be addressed by additional sanding or the application of more smoothing medium. Guide coat is formulated not to clog your abrasive medium, which speeds up the process and produces a better finish.

It was the first time I have use the spry on guild coat and it was nice and easy to use. It sanded nice and did not clog the sand paper.

Works great, doesn’t clog up your paper like regular spray paint would. One can was depleted after covering this entire Mustang so you can see the mileage you get out of one can. Will buy again.

I don't have a garage and did my whole Dodge Ram outdoors. So that's half the issue when using this product. in such an uncontrollable environment, it makes for it's own imperfections, making this product very difficult to make disappear after the lightest coat I could possibly apply... Indoors is a whole different game. It's likely a good product. It will be forever until I find out.

Good product, easy to use on surfaces and helps show low spots during sanding and prep.

A must for doing body work. I tried four local parts stores and three of them didn't know what guide coat even was.

The product works as described but i also tried the sem powder guide coat and it goes on much easier and smoother. I do prefer the powder coat.

This product is supposed to help find the primer imperfections however, it totally did the other way and damaged my paint job by it's very low quality spray nozzle and definitely not recommended. Worse than that, it did not have any return or refund policy.
