I just moved and the island has bar seating so these two were the perfect height for my 36inch tall countertops. Very easy to assemble. The color and wood quality is perfect for the style of my apartment kind of boho themed. They are wood seats with no backs so I don't sit in them very long, just for dinner. I do sometimes repurpose them as side tables next to my couch or bed. Not to heavy they are very easy to move. If you're looking for something sturdy, easy to assemble, reasonably priced these would be a great option.

This pair of Winsome Trading Inc wood bar stools at 29” tall were exactly what I wanted: a classic simple design, easy to assemble and sturdily built. The flat pack arrived with all the parts and hardware needed to assemble the two bar stools. Also included was a surprisingly decent hex wrench (thank you Winsome Trading). I pulled out my own Phillips screw driver and a second hex wrench to complete the assembly of both stools in about 40 minutes. At first my arthritic hands found it hard to grip the lower crossbar when using the hex wrench to tighten the hex screw. However by using two hex wrenches at opposing ends of the crossbar I was able to easily complete the task. Once assembled the stools seem to be quite sturdy with all legs at equal length and wobble free. I look forward to years of use.

So, these are not hard to assemble, but there are a few tricks that make it FAR easier. 1. Get a hex driver bit for your power screwdriver. The included hex wrench is very hard on the hands to get the screws tight. It is metric, so be sure to get the right bit. That "freight" company near the "harbor" has cheap bit sets that will do the job. 2. Speaking of tight screws, if you try to tighten them all the way down you will strip the head of the supplied screw. Pre-drill the hole an extra 1/2" with an 11/32" drill. They will still tighten but without destroying the screw. 3. If you can get Robertson (square head) screws, use them to attach the seat instead of the Phillips head screws they supply. Use #8 x 1.5" flat head screws. You can use the supplied screws, but be careful to not strip the heads. Square head screws are superior to any other type. Trust me. 4. The wood plugs fit just fine, contrary to some other reviews. But, put a little wood glue around the sides of the hole first, then tap in flush with a rubber mallet. Not too much glue, you don't want the glue to squirt out on the finish. 5. And by the way, seating the crossbars is far easier and more reliable with a rubber mallet. Do not assume the stools will be totally level. They are not. They rock a bit. Not bad, but noticeable. If you are a gluten for punishment you could sand down 1 or 2 leg ends a bit to level them, but applying some soft feet is a better option. My stools will be used in a theatrical setting so the slight rocking is not an issue. Any stick-on feet will not last in our environment, but should be OK in a home bar. The stools are quite nice for the price. Not super quality, but not a C note each either. Make sure you get all screws tight. If I was doing these again I'd put some wood glue into the bottom (longer) crossbar holes before screwing them together. The top crossbars should not be glued because they will allow the stool to flex a bit and self-level (as much as they do). For my purposes I would buy these again. For a nice home bar, perhaps something nicer would be better. I don't have a home bar, so the point is moot. Hope these tips help you!

We built a barbecue hut out back of our house and needed some stools for seating. I was looking for something not very expensive and these fit the bill quite nicely. The quality is good, they are very sturdy after you put them together, and they're easily wiped down for cleaning. They match practically everything and if wanted, I suppose a person could paint them.

Given the low price, I was expecting marginal quality. What I received was a sturdy, well-made set of stools! Assembly method is well thought out and robust and they went together very easily. The finished product is perfectly square and sturdy. Hardware is not of the highest quality (soft steel) but not a problem since it attaches to wood. As with any screw into wood, be careful not to overtighten. I also added a drop of wood glue at every joint so I expect these to last.

The chair itself is very sturdy, but the prongs where the seat lays into the legs don't work very well. On both stools the seat has come loose and wobbles, now this is an easy fix, wood glue and a couple bricks to weigh it down. That being said; should I have to repair a product that is as expensive as this is when it's not even a year old? No

These stools were easy to assemble, extremely sturdy and well worth the price. They arrived early, were packaged extremely well. Very pleased with the quality.

Having a hard time installing it; The bottom isn’t even and the chair keeps shaking; Nails kept falling off from the chair in daily usage; In sum, total waste of money.

These stools are a great value. They are real wood and well made. The Color was off, not quite as described. Mine are more reddish than espresso. Overall worth purchasing.
