Installed easily and perform just as well as the Motorcraft equivalent but at a fraction of the cost. Very few options for the Ford 4.6 liter 3 valve for plugs and none are very cheap.

I might have a little penance on this one as I once help on this design as a much younger person, but I can explain, these plugs here for sale are different. The plugs have changed a lot since they came out on the 2004 5.4 3v. Originally the threads would break loose from the ground shields because the crimp of the soft steel shell played double duty as the motor seat, so it was always a little thin so it could fold over in the assembly press. Then they swapped out the soft steel for 1018 high strength steel, great idea, but since the crimp and motor seat were the same, it was still not enough. Now the design has the crimp on the top, (see image of top crimp) and the motor seat is much thicker now. even though they are still two pieces, three pieces if you count the laser welded ground strap separate, they will not come apart at the motor seat. put these in without fear. But that will not help get the old ones out, I followed the official Autolite video with the carb cleaner and back and forth method and 1/2 of them stuck in there no matter. There are people who say to use the impact gun, no idea if that works, but people say it will. Either way the Lisle 65600 tool is needed to get that stinking ground shield tube out of there. What a hard job!

OMG THESE ARE THE BEST PLUGS EVER! They replaced a (supposedly) superior plug and outperformed them easily. One piece unit wont break removing either which is a HUGE godsend for F150 owners.

I've heard a lot of people having problems with this two-piece plug breaking. I've had my 2006 Mustang GT with a Kenne Bell supercharger now for 7 years and haven't used anything but these and I haven't had any issues at all.

I've ordered these plugs 3 times! Each time I get the old two piece ground strap design. Each time I complain to Amazon and they don't do anything. This listing is for the ONE PIECE GROUND STRAP REVOLUTION SPARK PLUGS. The reason you do not want to use the 2 piece design is that they have failed in the past and caused $1,000 upon $1,000 of damage to engines!! The ground strap breaks off and scores up the cylinder walls, gets stuck in a valve, or any one of numerous other issues that will cause you to have to rebuild your engine. I simply want the product that I'm buying, nothing more. I want the product that Amazon has listed for sale, nothing more. To Amazon this is a non-issue but to buyers who know this is a huge issue! Thank god for free returns.
