ABSOLUTELY ridiculous that we now have to buy blister packs!!!
Like others have mentioned, I too have IBS and Chrones Disease. It's bad enough that people have to suffer, we shouldn't have to deal with these stupid blister packs!!! And the fact that we can no longer get bottles with decent amounts, is due to others poor choices! Not only that but the per dose price has skyrocketed!People with Psoriasis & Psoriatic arthritis, osteoarthritis, & rheumatoid arthritis are the ones being harmed by this stupid packaging! You sure don't see the FDA concerned with the harm done to anyone but addicts. Opening these stupid blister packs kills their hands! If you're an addict, you can get the help you actually need, including your prescription opioid meds shipped to you directly through a telemedicine app called PursueCare. Please do that instead of, once again, having no regard for the millions of people you're hurting through your irresponsible behavior! The primary reason for the change in packaging & limited number in each package is that ADDICTS abuse loperamide! That has absolutely nothing to do with 95% of people who rely on loperamide for REAL ILLNESS!!! Loperamide is a mild opioid analogue and ADDICTS abuse it to prevent getting some of the withdrawal symptoms. Those of us who rely on loperamide for IBS AND CHRONE'S ARE NOT ADDICTS, WE DON'T ABUSE LOPERAMIDE AND WE SHOULDN'T BE LIMITED AS THOUGH WE'RE ABUSING IT!This isn't the fault of the company who packs it. These limitations were placed on the packaging by the federal government! Ignorant policies! So, yes this product is fine. It works the same as any loperamide but I'm still angry that, once again, the vast majority of people will never abuse this product & the rest are being punished because of incredibly poor choices of ADDICTS!!!"9/20/2019 UpdateTo help address loperamide abuse and misuse, FDA approved changes to the packaging for tablet and capsule forms of the brand-name over-the-counter (OTC) anti-diarrheal medicines Imodium A-D, Imodium Multi-Symptom Relief, and Be Health Loperamide HCl Capsules. These changes limit each carton to no more than 48 mg of loperamide and require the tablets and capsules to be packaged in individual doses. FDA continues to work with manufacturers, including those of generic and liquid OTC loperamide products to institute appropriate package sizes and types that support the safe use of these medicines."Addicts tend to take entire bottles of loperamide. The change in packaging is solely because of this. It can cause cardiovascular problems in people who take up to 200 tablets at one sitting!"For the intestinally afflicted, loperamide โ Imodium, as itโs more commonly known โ is a godsend. While diarrhea is certainly fodder for jokes, sight gags and childhood singalongs, itโ also serious: It accounts for 4 percent of all deaths, and 5 percent of health loss to disability, worldwide. After being approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 1976, Imodium quickly became the bestselling prescription anti-diarrheal medication in the United States. However, because of its chemical similarities to opioids, it does have the potential for abuse. But while a euphoric โhighโ is theoretically possible through abuse, the potential side effects can be deadly.โIt is an opioid, but if you compare the chemical structure to the famous opioids, thereโs quite a bit of difference,โ says Phil LaFoy, owner of Blount Discount Pharmacy in Maryville, Tenn. โIf you know your chemistry well, you can see the base structure in it, but you donโt get nearly the effect that you would get from oxycodone, hydrocodone or morphine. The crazy thing about loperamide is that if you take enough to get a buzz, youโre likely to have a heart attack. There are a lot of cardiovascular issues with it.โIMO, if an adult wants to absuse a substance, that's their problem. If they have a heart attack because they've drastically abused any substance, then they should accept responsibility for their actions! Others shouldn't have to suffer because of poor decision making.

Blister Packs but affordable
They work and thatโs all that matters. I had hoped to find this medication in packaging other than blister packs on Amazon. BUT this medication is not blister pack free. Itโs definitely cheaper than the local CVS or Walgreens.

Generic drug, works fine, but packaging inspires RANT
No complaints about this product! But why oh why oh WHY does it seem that this medication is no longer available in convenient bottles of, say, 30, or 60, or 100.... you know, the way OTC drugs are normally packaged? I can only seem to find it now in these horrible inconvenient time-wasting plastic-bubbles-on-cards-in-a-box, requiring a scissors or other sharp blade to slice open the packaging that protects each pill so very very well. It's just an antidiarrheal tablet. As far as I know, you can't get high on 'em or use them to make something to get high on (Let me know if I'm wrong.... in detail please). It's already cumbersome to buy sudafed, even years after small scale meth labs (which bought those in bulk) have become nearly extinct in the US. Hope we're not going down that road again.

Worked Fast and Effectively
I had diarrhea for almost two weeks and nothing was helping very much. I took two of these Major Anti-Diarrheal pills when they arrived and had one more runny episode, took another pill ---as directed and voila I was cured. Four days have passed and all is well...so three of these "loperamide" pills solved my problem. I am going to keep these on hand for any future episodes. My Swill Army knife has scissors that make opening the though blister pack a breeze. If you are "running to and in the toilet" too much I recommend this product. BIG A-O.K.
