Last summer we did the 3000-piece Marvel puzzle and was disappointed in the picture itself (which was a photoshopped collage done by different artists), the 99% similarity in puzzle piece shapes that made it almost impossible to reliably piece together large areas of the same color, by the disconnect of images between pieces here and there, and finally by a missing piece which was very irritating. Also, the box image is the only guide, which was difficult to work off of because of its small size. So it was with some trepidation that we proceeded to the 3000-piece DC puzzle. We found it much better than its Marvel cousin. The picture is a single image so there is better consistency in relative character size, style and appearance. The puzzle pieces were irregular enough in shape that there was no question they went together, or didn't go together as the case may be. The image on the puzzle pieces also aligned correctly 100% of the time and we didn't encounter any sort of "line" through or across the image as others have mentioned. Also, there were no missing pieces. We have two small complaints: As an artistic choice, the artist drew the characters in the foreground with very sharp detail, while the smaller background characters are drawn somewhat fuzzy. And again, you have to rely on the small box picture as a guide for constructing the puzzle (if that is a problem, I suggest finding a poster of this picture to help.) I've read a lot of negative reviews on this puzzle and I can only surmise that beyond personal expectations, sometimes one has to be just lucky in what they receive.

I'm so disappointed. I've bought and completed several of the Aquarius 3000 piece puzzles and except for a few problems I ran into on my TMNT puzzle (I left my issues in a review on that one as well), I've been loving all of them. But almost immediately, I could tell this one was different than the ones I had done in the past. When sorting through the box for the outside border pieces, I noticed right away that every puzzle piece was the same shape whereas my other Aquarius puzzles all had the variety of puzzle piece shapes. I thought this was strange because to my understanding, I thought that puzzle companies typically use the same cutter for all their puzzles of the same size. So if my other 3000 piece puzzles had the variety of shapes, why didn't this one? Anyway, that wasn't a problem, but more just an observation. What WAS a problem was that once I pulled all the border pieces and started putting it together, I could tell that the puzzle just felt a little off. Because the way it was cut, most pieces fit snug with each other so it was almost impossible to tell if a piece was in the right spot or not, especially with that light blue sky. My other Aquarius puzzles didn't have this problem! And then there's that cursed middle line.... After completing the border, I realized that for some strange reason, at the top and bottom of the frame in the dead center, the pieces wouldn't interlock because they weren't cut properly. After seeing that, I immediately came onto here to check other user reviews and found that countless others have had this same misalignment problem that I have. Suffice to say, this is enough to make me not want to spend the next several weeks finishing it. I've enjoyed the Aquarius puzzles very much in the past, so I don't know what the heck happened here. Do yourselves a favor and don't buy this one.

Huge Puzzle! first attempt was on our standard puzzle board. We got halfway done with the frame when we realized that wasn't going to work. Second attempt was on mat for our dining room table, ended up needing two. We finally solved the problem with a half sheet of drywall that I had in the basement. Now that is resolved, loving the puzzle. We do 1000 pieces in a single sitting normally. This is taking days. Great diverse character selection with enough similar attributes that there is a real challenge. Puzzle picture is clear, pieces are sturdy. Only two criticisms are that the box is so small that the picture on the box is missing much of the detail, and I wash it had more unusually shaped pieces.

The puzzle is a challenge, but that's not why I'm giving it one star. The die cuts are not clean at all, and there is a line down the middle of the puzzle where the pieces do not fit correctly, leaving a gap and misalignment in the midst of the characters. Needless to say, it's frustrating for a puzzle of this size (3000 pieces takes up a LOT of space) and complexity to get so far into it and realize that no matter what you do, it's not going to be presentable once finished. I am terribly disappointed and will not be ordering any from this creator again.

I love a good challenge, and this was one of them. First, this is a LARGE puzzle. I had to set up two Lifetime tables side by size in order to have an area large enough to work on it as I didn't want to take over my kitchen table for weeks. The image is beautiful, so it's worth the effort, but our puzzle had some things that were surprising: 1) we had one extra, duplicate piece. I was concerned that we were going to be have problems later, but we didn't have any missing pieces 2) the tip of Batman's cape was inconsistent in the color (see photo) as the purple changed too drastically between pieces, and 3) there were so many pieces that fit in multiple places and it make solving the border and sky an arduous task that we had to re-do multiple times. The pieces are not unique enough to be 100% confident that they are right, especially in the sky. Working on it for several hours in the evenings, this puzzle took several weeks to complete, so mentally prepare yourself. We'll be gluing and framing this one as I can't see myself re-doing this one.

Contrary to reviews indicating they had missing pieces, mine had none missing. However, it is challenging so it appears as if I'm not missing pieces until the very end when the puzzle gets completed. Took 10 days to complete with two people working on it together.

It took me days of wondering what I was doing wrong till I realized the image wasn’t aligned and neither were the pieces. All down the middle. It sucks because I did about 30% of the puzzle and finally just read the reviews because it wasn’t making sense. Seems like this is a problem for a lot of people! Even if I tried ignoring the defects it would be impossible because it’s ridiculously misaligned. Company is sending me a replacement so I’m hoping it will workout better.

Non faccio mai recensioni, ma questo articolo se la merita. Avevo letto le recensioni e dicevano (confermato da foto) che i pezzi erano tutti uguali, della stessa forma. Ad oggi il puzzle invece presenta i pezzi tutti diversi, come tutti gli altri puzzle di altre marche! Ottimo! Anche i colori vanno benissimo!

Même problème que chez les autres, des pièces qui correspondent pas et le puzzle est décoloré a plusieurs endroits. A fuir !

I've been working on this for almost a month in the weekends and sometimes after work.. It's definitely challenging but of your into puzzles and superheroes you'll love this!

Started the outline and noticed the misalignment and thought I had missed a piece kept going and thinking it’ll turn up.

Ich habe das Puzzle lediglich gekauft, da es kein anderes mit einem solchen Motiv gab, die Qualität der Puzzleteile ist nämlich sehr schlecht. Alle Teile haben die selbe Form und man hat kein Feedback ob das Teil richtig sitzt, daher passen zum Beispiel viele Teile in das gleiche Loch, was es unmöglich macht bei gleichaussehenden das richtige zu finden. Manche Teile die zusammen gehören müssen, passen nicht zusammen, die Qualität der Teile ist also sehr schlecht was den Spaß beim Bauen einschränkt. Teile haben bei mir nicht gefehlt. Wenn man nicht unbedingt nach einem Puzzle mit diesem Motiv sucht, Rate ich von Kauf ab.
