This is the first of these that i had bought and was skeptical that the cost was justified. Granted, it is not inexpensive but it is VERY well made. I had been using the pull thru cables but realized that they do not allow the brush or any other tool to rotate as they are pulled thru the barrel. This rotation is important to allow the brush or other tool to track in the rifling grooves to clean them out properly. This tool has bearings in the handle that let the shaft spin freely as it is pulled. Most cleaning rods have this feature but this one spins much more freely than the cheaper ones which do not actually have bearings in them but slide on friction surfaces. You do have to consider that these are more of a storage and transportation issue than a cable or breakdown rod (these do not come apart). I intend to use these for bench cleaning and bought the Tipton storage rack to mount on the wall. Also be careful to order the right tool for the caliper that you are cleaning. They do come in different diameter rods.

I love these rods, I have several of varying calibers and lengths. They are very durable, I’ve been using the same rods for years now and they are just as smooth spinning and strong as ever. Excellent quality, and superbly easy to use and you don’t have to worry about damaging your barrel with it like you do with steel rods. High value product and highly recommended.

I own several of these. Well worth the money, a bargain really. High quality, won’t harm your barrel, slick and easy to use. Love it.

Works very well with different brand attachments. Works better than bore snakes for cleaning. Used with cleaning AR15 just fine.

carbon fiber is very rigid so if/when it flexes and bends to much it snaps and explodes everywhere. cant use jags on it any more,it's only use now is to scrape out revolver cylinders and barrels that are loaded up with gunk and leftover hardened GSR. wont be buying this brand any more since the carbon fiber just isnt as good as expected.
