And how long should I wait before the first wash?** A: PLEASE!!! Read the instructions enclosed with the paper you have received. They are full, precise and comprehensive. Washing instructions are there also. You should wait 24 hours before washing and ONLY EVER was in a WASHING MACHINE at 104F with spin cycle. Pre wash the shirt if there is a chance that it will get soaked before the first wash. **Q: Can I use a press machine** A: You can use a heat press with this product. The pack of paper comes with full instructions for use with an iron as well as a heat press. **Q: How do you use dark transfer paper to do words without the block backgroun?** A: If you are using this transfer paper, your image has to be such that you are able to cut away ALL the white areas on the paper, that you do not want visible on the garment. All the white on the paper will be visible on the shirt unless cut out. I also bought a pack for light shirts. Both products worked great. The dark is a pain to peel of and as long as you follow the directions. You should have no problem. The picture I attached may look light and that is because I have my rooms lights on. But the picture cane out sharp. I haven't washed it yet. It does look like it will hold up well until like 40-50 washes.Remember this is not sublimation. If you are going to cry about it peeling or cracking then this method may not be for you. Huge difference between the 2 methods. You get what you pay for. But I will update as soon as I wash the shirt and let everyone know how it held up.Other than that. The color looks good on both light and dark shirts. I haven't attached the white shirt because it had some sentimental and personl. But it did come out perfect. My customer loved it. The price for the sheets are not bad either. This is a good start off paper til you are able to find more or better paper.So far I love the product and the feel of the sheets when pressed on the shirt is not noticeable when you wear it. It's not like wearing a bullet proof vest...lol. I use a heat press so it came out perfect but when using the sheet for dark colors on a heat press. Make sure you line up the design before turning on the heat press. I did it reverse and the sheet started sticking immediately. Rookie mistake...lol. Again, for the price it's not bad and the quality is really good. The picture is a perfect example. I will be buying more to have in my stock. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good value for money, but a bit tricky *by on Reviewed in the United States November 11, 2020* I bought these as an alternative to the considerably pricier A**** opaque transfers. I use this type of transfer in small (single digit) runs on a home-style tshirt press. The A**** ones are my gold standard but I wanted to try some that don't drain as much gold from the treasury.The print quality, and quality of the finished shirt, seem equal in every way -- and results are what count.I've run through a package of these and the ease of use doesn't match up to A****. But here's some hints based on my experience. First, the backing is a solid sheet -- not scored like A****. That makes it difficult to start the peeling process. I suggest starting your peel as soon as you've trimmed the sheet; it seems a bit easier when the cut is fresh. You'll likely benefit from reading glasses, long nails or a small thin tweezers, even an Xacto knife, to get that peel started because the transfer is quite thin. Peel it back maybe an inch before setting it aside, so it doesn't slow you down at pressing time.The other issue is for press users. PPD says to set it for 375 degrees, pretty hot. If you wait to align the transfer until the shirt's on the press, you have about 5 seconds until the transfer starts to curl under from the heat. As soon as this starts, you better remove the transfer because in another second the curled part will stick to itself. If it's not too bad, you can pop this off when it cools, but the curl itself will stay. That makes it really hard to get it to lie flat and uncurled when you go back to try again.You might not like the solution: position the transfer, cover it with parchment and press with a hot iron, maybe 30 seconds per side-to-side pass, as needed to tack it down. Then run it through the press as usual. You bought the press so you could put the iron on the shelf. I get that, but this will save infinite hassle.These opaque transfers look good and will certainly save you money, but they do take a bit more time and care than the A**** ones require.
