Sports Astrology [Frawley, John] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Sports Astrology Review: The best of the best - This book is essentially a narrative tale that presents John's style of astrological divination. He teaches us how to predict the outcomes of sporting events. Sports and the financial markets are the #1 test of an astrologer's skill because money, reputation and hundreds of years of tradition are on the line. There is no room here for "oh, you must have misunderstood me", or "how do you feel about that", or "it's time for our transformational affirmations". Within a couple of hours, you know whether or not your method is valid. When you get good, you can do long (performance) bets where the odds are astronomical, and the 'cred' is off the chart. It's not about getting rich quick, or beating the odds. It's about learning how to take astrological divination to the level of a fine art. Because of this undercurrent that weaves through the text like a golden thread, this may be one of the best astrology books I've ever read. But that's not all - the book is written as an almost Shakespearian comedy, in which a cruel master tolerates the enthusiasm of his student while teaching some real, down to earth astrology. It's really hard to appreciate a book like this unless you've struggled through the nonsense and bad translations that have caused me so many unwanted frustrations. As I've said in another review, John has upped the ante for astrological writing, and by the time his books on the fixed stars and natal astrology hit the market, certain publishers may have to redefine their writer's guidelines. I think this is a good thing, because some of them need to admit that they consider almost anything acceptable if it has a good title and something new in it, and others need to send their editors to English classes. John's clarity, focus, philosophical integrity and humor make his work stand out. He is able to present the "same 'ol stuff" in such a way that it seems fresh and exciting. His books are not so much about astrology as they are about how to be a good, reliable astrologer. After reading this book, I felt honored to be a practitioner of the same profession. If you are a new student of astrology, get this book before you have to unlearn the junk that's out there. If you are a seasoned veteran, get this book - you'll find it hard to believe that a textbook can be so enjoyable. Review: Very unique book - I have used the tactics in this book to predict the winners of sporting events and horse races. The horse races can get a little tricky, but sometimes the winner is just obvious When you Use the techniques in this book. The writing style is different, but once you adjust to that, it’s interesting How the author will answer a question you have in your mind in the next paragraph, So that is what makes it fun to read. It’s like the author is leading you to think and wonder about additional things and then he gives you the answers to those questions.

A little difficult to read
I’ll have to read this book multiple times because I found the conversation writing style difficult to follow. I wish he’d just layout the concepts and rules clearly without having to read all the extra stuff. Overall I found this book difficult to follow

It works
I'm a Frawley student and I find his methods work more often than not. This book's method is consistent with other types of Horary and I find it easy to use and understand. I did really well when predicting win loss for baseball games I follow. And it was fun and easy to do since I have been practicing Horary for a number of years.

Book as expected, the horary astrology methods used by Frawley to predict sporting event winners.
It covers how to look at various sporting events to ask the correct "horary" question for that particular event. Also, he explains how to ask and judge a "horary" for election of US presidents."Horary" is a unique system of asking questions and judging a chart. It includes the order of importance for rulers of 1st and 10th and 7th and 4th houses. It includes how the moon is used in these charts. Also, the things he has learned including how he disagrees with other "horary" textbook writes such as Dr.Lee Leeman. Also, he has found one modern planet, Pluto, to have an important effect on these contest charts. Interesting!

Creative Learning
Loving Frawley's straight forward, 'to the point' style. This book is written as a student and teacher conversation, I feel so involved, as if I am the 2nd student.
