I moved into a tiny room at my parent's place when the pandemic started last march and only ONE plant survived quarantine depression. My little 2yr old basil plant was dying of indirect window sunlight and lack of hope. Then, I got this! Taking care of my little buddies has helped my mental health tremendously and without this light, which works wonders, I would be even sadder today. As you can see they love it! Has only been a couple of weeks and they're already back from the brink at full health and growing taller every day. I've even started new seedlings that sprouted just the other day but I'm sure that thanks to this light they'll do great. It has a pretty straightforward timer system and seems pretty efficient. Don't leave it on for too long though because the plug itself gets really hot.

I bought this reasonably priced light in hopes of helping my ailing indoor plants - which include lettuce, catnip, African violet, calathea, jade, and various sprouting seeds. I didn't know what to expect because I've never used a grow light before. I confess I didn't have the patience to read the instructions (which I have now read!), so I just used it at 100% for about 10-12 hours a day for a few weeks. The plants grew at differing rates, but the catnip really took off - I had to keep pruning pieces off! In the future, I'll try using the light at 60 or 80% and for fewer than 10 hours to see how the plants do with that exposure. I was nervous to see my utility bill, but it appeared to be pretty normal for this time of year; so I was very pleased about that. If I were to suggest any changes to this product, it would be to include some sort of chart containing suggested light percentages and timings for different plants - succulents, flowering, vegetables, herbs, very young sproutlets, etc. All in all, I am very satisfied with this light.

I bought this grow light to help my plants survive through the dark winter season. I like that it has four gooseneck arms that are probably the longest I could find on amazon. The clip is pretty sturdy and has little cushion pads so it does not scrape or damage whatever you clip the light to. The light comfortably bathes my plants with light while not overpowering the lighting in the rest of my living room. The light has a slight purple hue which I didn’t expect for some reason, but it’s not SUPER purple and doesn’t bother me at all. The remote functions are super useful and I love that you can change how many lights are on at one time, dim, or time the lights. A small instructional card is included and it’s very intuitive. Plug cord is long enough to reach most outlets. Overall it does a great job and I’m contemplating getting another once I can find a place to clip it.

So far so good. My little baby herbs have seemed to enjoy it quite a bit since they weren’t doing so good. It got drastically colder in our home with the Earth and climate change finally deciding to give us traditional December weather. We’ve enjoyed the cooler temps but the plants haven’t so they were a little wilted. Plus our kitchen is pretty dark so they also weren’t getting much light. Since we’ve gotten this light, they’ve perked up quite a bit. It’s only been two days of consistent use, but so far so good. I don’t know about energy efficiency, but I guess we’ll see. Side note: DO NOT HAVE THE LIGHTS ON WHILE YOU’RE GOING TO BE IN THE SAME ROOM. THOUGHT I COULD COOK DINNER IN THE KITCHEN AND WOULDNT BE BOTHERED SINCE THE MAIN LIGHTS WERE ON. NOT THE CASE!

I used to have a similar light with only 3 heads from a different company. When I opened these lights, I was pretty pleased to see that they were much more sturdy. There's a decent heft to this thing. The four heads light up with no issue. I don't have any of the flickering mentioned in other reviews. I've had my seedlings under the light for several days now, before they got only a few direct hours of direct light through the window. They hadn't grown much in a month. They've been under the lights for a few days now, and my seedlings have honestly experienced more growth under the grow lights then they have in the last several weeks without them. If you're concerned about whether or not your plants will grow under these lights, they will. For the 30 bucks or whatever, this was a no brainer. I've got 72 seedlings under these lights and they should be perfectly fine until it's time to transplant.

These were some of the first grow lights that I bought for starting plants and they worked well for about three years. I would have rated them highly based on this. This last year both of the lights I purchased developed an issue with the dimming feature. Basically the feature will cycle through the five dimmable settings but maxes out at the second lowest (40%) so that the settings are off, 20%, 40%, 40%, 40%, 40%. This isn't very bright and makes the lights minimally useful. I will throw them out at the end of this year's seed starting and go with a different brand. I'm not sure if other brands of lights that I have bought since buying these will also develop this problem or not but will probably not reorder this style. If this style of lights just burn out after a few years then I would consider reordering these because I like the four wands and clamp.

This is the first grow light I have purchased and was anticipating a cheaply made, light weight lamp. I was pleasantly surprised when I open up the package and saw how sturdy and well built this lamp is. I did have to use a lot of muscle to open the clamp, but that was actually a good thing because once I fastened the clip to my plant table, I realized that I don't have to worry about the lamp being loose and falling off. It's a super sturdy, tight hold. The auto timing and dimming features are great, and the adjustable lamp arms are sturdy and stay in place without sagging. All in all, I am super happy with my purchase.
