I usually see files transferring anywhere between 200Mbps and 1Gbps depending on the file type. I mostly use this as an external drive to transfer large video files from work to home for editing. Formatting it as APFS makes file transfers a breeze on my MacBook pro. I routinely transfer 1TB or so of video files in 12-15 minutes. My only complaint is that it can't transfer files at full nvme speeds, but that's a minor gripe since it so much faster than older ssds I had before. It gets pretty hot transferring large files, so I put a small heat sink on it. It's built like a tank and is machined from solid aluminum. Unlike a lot of others I've tried, it stays reasonably cool without fans or vents, which makes it more ideal for me working in environments where dust or dirt could be an issue.
