How weather proof? Bought one for temporary use that does not look like it would handle weather. Hard bakelite material.

As with anything else electrical, you have to be careful how you use it. I always use silicone to fill the opening where the cord enters the plug, but that only makes it more spider proof as opposed to waterproof. From years of sailing and using waterproof connectors, it's kind of disappointing to see how many connectors for RV's aren't really designed to handle weather.

Hoping this isn't a stupid question, don't see it stated, but this plug is for 220/240 volts? and will accommodate 10/3 jsoow cable?

No, its for 120 Volt / 30 Amp (3 prong) RV service. The 240 volt is for 50 Amp services. (4 prong)

Will this fit in the round receptacle box on the RV with the lid shutting ?

The 50amp will not fit thru most round access holes. Suggest you measure before ordering. Most responses seem to center around the 30amp plug, which will fit.

Will this fit into a surge protector box with a lid

It depends on the size of the box it didn't fit in mine
