This is the 4WD actuator on my F250 and was an easy swapout. 4WD now works perfectly.

Solving the problem
I spent months reading forums, watching videos, tracking vacuum lines, checking voltage, esentially everything everyone has said is the issue. I got a good deal on the new switch. I would have bought it anyway, but this took me to fixing 98% of my problem. Instead of cutting to defrost around 30, everything works until I hit 70. I have one more line to replace and I think I will be at 100%. Huge milestone though with the winter months coming and needing heat. I want to be clear to everyone out there with older super duties. Not one of my systems worked. It was not just tied to 4x4 or AC. it affected every system. It is also to determine if your issues is in the cab or in the engine compartment. The switch fixed my problem on all systems.

Ford Excursion 2005 6.8-V10 - Perfect replacement for FORD OEM part. As others mentioned, the two outer pins have to be bend slightly to the outside (use a screw driver, but be careful) and the plug will fit snug. Hub locks engaged immediately again.

Worked well with no leaking as others have experienced. Cycles properly at higher vacuum for engage and lower for disengaging. Pins are not in the exact position, they are more towards the center than the original, making the connector a tight fit. installed in 2003 Excursion.

Works like it shoukd.. BUT the first one did not work,.. returned it, got another. now the new one works perfectly fine. Good price. Worth it.

Exact fit and fix
This part was a perfect fit for my 02 F250 Super Duty 7.3 diesel and it fixed the problem I had of the air only blowing in defrost setting.

Fit 1999 Ford F350 perfectly
My AC was stuck on defrost mode. I was quoted $1k for parts and labor to replace this part. I took the free estimate and bought this part. Was able to to it myself for about a 1/4 of the estimate from the garage near me. Fixed the issue and has held up since!
