Easy Install, Great Product
Honestly, I was skeptical because of the price. I wanted something quality, that wasn’t obnoxious. This muffler exceeded expectations. Packaging was perfect! I will say, I read a lot of reviews and I was worried about the difficulty of the OE removal. I was able to remove the driver side hangar pretty easily, but after fighting the passenger side for about 5 minutes I just cut the hangar off. Removing the muffler at least in my case was more of a workout than a struggle. I was able to get rotation out of it, and I took a flat head screwdriver and CAREFULLY pried up on the pinch points of the lap joint. With some tedious back and forth movements I was able to slip it off. Instead of cutting off the original clamp and reusing like some did, I purchased a 2.5” lap joint exhaust clamp which worked amazingly on this application. I used the supplied clamps for the tips, and I didn’t find the same issue a lot were having with the clamps not getting quite tight enough. Whether they fixed that issue or not, I’m not sure. It worked for me though. Another complaint I saw from other reviews was that the tail pipes were not level. Again, I did not have this issue, but I know that slightly tweaking the hangars in the right direction will fix this. The only complaint that I had was there were a few dings in the muffler body itself, which in reality doesn’t make any difference in this review. The tail pipes were perfect, the inlet was perfect, and that’s all that mattered to me. It sounds amazing. Just please take in to consideration that if you install this on a 2 door JK it will be significantly louder in the cabin, due to first, the muffler being closer to the cabin, and second, there being 3 feet less of exhaust pipe. Both of those make a huge difference in how this sounds. On a 4 door JKU (my application ‘16 JKU) it adds the perfect amount of volume, and a decent amount of throat. You only get what I guess you would call “droning” at just over 1000 rpm, and goes away at 1200 rpm. So let’s be honest… no droning. All in all, I think it’s a perfect muffler if you’re looking for a great look, with a little bit of volume. For $200.00 you can not go wrong. Beats spending $600.00+ on magnaflow, flowmaster, borla, etc.

Very Easy Install
My DynoMax showed up today. I installed it on my 2008 JKU. Very easy install. Took me less than 1/2 hour. Like everyone else who has left a comment. The hard part is getting the old muffler off. I cheated and used a sawzall to cut the hangers and the connection between the exhaust pipe and the muffler past the connection flange. I used a Dremel tool with a small cutting wheel, and carefully cut through the remaining portion of muffler attached to the exhaust pipe, making sure not to cut into the exhaust pipe. It popped right off. Total removal time was less than 1 hour. I set the new muffler on top of a box and slid the unit under the Jeep. I attached the muffler to the exhaust pipe. Perfect fit and location. I used WD40 to spray the metal hangers and rubber support hanger holes. Everything lined up perfectly and slid right in. It comes with a clamp to attach the muffler to the exhaust pipe. It also comes with two exhaust tips and clamps for the tips. I'm not sure I am a fan of the clamps. They seem heavy duty, but are a little awkward to tighten the exhaust tips onto the muffler. The sound is nice and deep, but not overly obnoxious. I bought this because it said it is made from stainless steel. My overall satisfaction will be determined by how long it lasts, but the price was right! My last muffler was a Walker stock replacement. It lasted less than 4 years and only 38K. I also keep my Jeep in the garage, which I would think would help with longevity. The passenger side hanger failed. It was also rusting, and hung down a little low. The Dynomax tucks up nice and out of the way.

Great product not very loud

Good exhaust and trail approved.
Like some others I painted it for rust resistance. I used some flat BarBQ pit paint and think they look great. I added this to replace a Flowmaster axle back tip. That tip sounded pretty good but it was pretty loud.... Louder than I wanted on road trips. These are not what I would call loud at all but is a bit more than stock. I will say when you get on it they sound nice and are certainly louder than stock then. I like them being mostly tame except when you put your foot into it, but still not crazy or anything. This unit does well on the trail and I didn't hit muffler at all, but did get one out pipe. The stock muffler I dented and scraped several times which is why I started changing things out. Not these however I didn't add the chrome tips. They are very nicely chromed but would stick out several more inches and I would smash them so I simply left them off. The pipe tip I hit was not bad and only flattened the button a bit. I most have come down on a rock. Nothing terrible and I rounded it out a bit with a pipe but can tell you the metal is not weak and it did better than the tip on my stock muffler. For my install the system was easy but I already had the stock system off. Having taken the old one off though I can agree that's the hardest part of the job.

Sounds good!
Like others have said it is just slightly louder than stock. Nothing bad though. The hardest part was getting the old one off. I ended up buying the muffler hanger remover pliers. They are well worth the $$. I only got the cheap ones on Amazon, but they do the job. Some WD40 at the connection and wiggling back and forth I got the stock muffler off without any damage. I went ahead and painted it black and left the stainless tips off. These are good quality tips. So I will either keep them for another vehicle or sell them. You will be happy with this muffler and glad you saved some $$ for other upgrades.

Installed this yesterday. Perfect, exactly what I wanted. Looks great and the sound is just right. Not to loud, just a nice little rumble. Installation was straight forward, took about an hour, hardest part was removing the old one.

As has been said before, very easy to fit, more time taking off the old expansion chamber than fitting the new. Tail extensions are very nice indeed. Good rumble with power but in cruise disappears back to being nice and quiet. Improves the manual gear shift handling as one needs to have feedback from the motor to drive this Jeep well. In all, I am very happy indeed. Well packed and arrived on time even with Christmas in the way. I would buy another but I only have one Jeep.

it arrived well packed, stainless parts secured with plastic. fits perfect, nice deep grumble. love the sound. not too loud but present. would have given it 5 stars if it would have some rust protection paint. for the price it is a excellent piece. i installed it on my 2014 wrangler within an hour. taking the old one off took longer than putting the new one on. tip for taking off an install. prepare a few days before installation with rust spray on the clamp. i started spraying it after the order day. take a very small screw driver and open a little bit the eye on the hanging rubbers to put WD40 in it. makes it way easier to slip out and in the hanger bracket. do not tighten the clamp until the exhaust is installed an wiggle it around so it can xit in the hanger rubbers. it will center just fine by itself. then tighten the clamp
