Good split for Quality vs. Cost
I bought this filter because I wanted a step up from the dreaded Fram fuel filter available everywhere, but I also didn't want to break the bank with OEM (AC Delco). The Purolator was a good compromise... better quality but still affordable. I held back 1 star because the OD. of this filter seems to be a wee bit larger and it was a bit of a fight to install it in the factory bracket on the frame rail (94 GM Yukon). I ended up using some spray can lube to help slide it into the plastic holder. It works just fine but changing it out next time should be fun. (Not). Other than that I'm satisfied with the quality & performance of this filter. Would I buy it again ? Well I bought 2. So I won't have to worry about that for awhile ! UPDATE: 2yrs later.. the price for this filter is now 33% more than an ACDelco. Wont be buying any more of these :~(
