Easy install. **Q: Will this fit a 2022 Lincoln aviator? I do not want to cut the bumper and just need it for a luggage rack?** A: Yes, this will fit, does not require cutting the bumper **Q: Does this fit 2023 explorer?** A: No reason it shouldn’t. The frame is exactly the same. You do have to remove the cover on the bottom though. That will stay off so the hitch can go on. This hitch for the Ford Explorer/Lincoln Aviator was easy to install. I did elect to re-install the heat shields AFTER installing the trailer hitch. This eliminated the need to cut a long slit in the shields. I first reinstalled the shields with just two of the retaining nuts so I could tap around the most forward retaining bolt/nut to mark exactly where to drill the hole to expose the bolt/nut. I cut the hole in the shield using a 1 1/4" hole saw - perfect.
