These came in an elegant black box. Which adds nothing to the product itself, but gives the buyer (me) a feeling of dealing with a quality company. As to the product, they are wonderful thick but soft silk. Just what I was hoping to get. They are extra long which was needed to fit the long pillows that I ordered at the same time. They add an extra comfort to preparing for sleep. I did go to sleep fast, but that may be the placebo effect. A special touch, not to be missed is that they have an overhang and picket at the end so that they can be closed without they use of a zipper. This is an excellent touch and very functional. Highly recommended.

I have purchased several silk pillowcase but this is by far the best. I can tell a difference between the lower mm density. I recommend spending the extra dollars for the 30mm. It is so soft and luxurious! I have purchased the taupe which is a beautiful golden taupe, it does not have a pink undertone as appears on my screen. I also bought the blue which a sort of a silver blue, not a baby blue, again, just so beautiful! Extremely well made, excellent quality. One thing I like about this case over other brands I have is that it has a flap that tucks inside the back allowing you to use both sides (I think they call this a European design?) I have another I purchased on Amazon that has a zipper on the end. While that one is functional, it looks like a pillow protector on my bed, not a pillowcase and takes away from the look I wanted. Another one I purchased has the flap on the outside , more like a pillow sham so I cannot flip the pillow over without waking up with a crease on my face. The presentation box is beautiful and makes this a great gift for the friend that "has everything". I do wash mine in a mesh bag, inside-out on the cool water delicate cycle with dreft baby wash. I have fluffed it on the air cycle in the dryer with wool dryer balls, but prefer to air dry and then iron because i do not like wrinkles. One thing that I have noticed on this case vs. my others is that the inside seams are finished beautifully, my others have the inside seams serged. It just screams quality and luxury!

I’ve bought these pillowcases for years and they never disappoint. They last for many machine washes (in a net bag on delicate). The packaging is beautiful and would make a lovely gift.

I have a type of alopecia where I am losing my hair over my entire head rather than in patches. Both are awful if you ask me. I try everything that is supposed to help your hair. Silk pillow cases are supposed to be easier on your hair, and I would have to say with silk pillow cases there is less tangling in my hair. A very good thing for me, less tangling, less shedding when I comb my hair in the morning. I have bought 22 mm silk pillow cases and have had success with less tangling, I purchased these silk pillow cases because they are 30 mm. My hope was it would cause even less tangling. I want to hang onto my hair as long as possible. Sadly the amount of tangling is no less than the 22 mm pillow cases I had already purchased. I will say I do think they are softer and feel very good against my face. Are they really softer than the 22 mm? I think the answer to that question is subjective. A $137 is an expensive experiment. I can honestly say I have no regrets about buying them. I can also honestly say if hair tangling is your issue I think you’d be ok getting a lesser expensive pillow case. If softness against your skin is the issue, I’m on the fence whether a 30 mm or a 22 mm is best. Both are soft. If money is an issue, they are many choices on Amazon that are less expensive. If this is a gift, I’d go with these, they are packaged beautifully, and make a lovely presentation. If you want the recipient to know you didn’t skimp on cost, I’d go with these. I only gave 4 stars because the hair tangling is no less than a 22 mm pillow case. The quality is first rate. I gave 3 stars for value for the money for the same reason, there are less expensive options that will do the same claims of softness and less hair tangling. Don’t get me wrong, these are very nice, well made pillow cases. Word of warning, hand wash, hand wash, hand wash!!!! Line dry, line dry, dry!!!! These pillow cases, no matter how much you spend, will lose their softness if machine washed and dried, even on delicate wash, and air/fluff dry. I know this for a fact, I made the mistake of machine wash, fluff dry. I do not personally think you have to go the dry cleaning route. Fishers Finery does come with washing instructions, it tells you hand wash, it does go onto say dry cleaning is better. Use wool lite, do not wring or twist. Wrap in a towel, gently press the water out and hang to dry. I hope this helps with your decision.

Second purchase! These are wonderful and hold up well. I have had the first one almost a year and it is still like new. It has received daily use. I throw it in the laundry bag provided and wash it with my delicates in the machine or hand wash it. Bought another for obvious reasons. I will buy more. One suggestion. I bought the light blue and with heavy use it is a little discolored. I bought a darker gray color this time.

I don't know what it is but it's not silk. And if it does, it's really not good. Feel synthetic. Won't buy again.

I have the standard size pillowcases in both the white silk and silver silk - both have a pretty subtle sheen to them, adding more dimension to any bedding design. These pillowcases are fantastic because they hold up extremely well wash after wash. The pillowcases come with a zippable laundry bag for delicates which is a great, thoughtful touch since it is recommended to keep it in the bag when washing. The 30 momme pillowcases are definitely a splurge compared to other 22 momme pillowcases but I promise you can feel the difference in thickness and quality. In the short term it may be tempting to purchase the 22 momme pillowcases (most other brands use 22 momme) but long term the 30 momme pillowcases will stand the test of time and get softer with each wash. It is also super easy to steam out any wrinkles after washing. Highly recommend adding this luxury piece to your every day bed routine!

I’m not happy to see ugly stains on both of my pillow cases. No quality control.
