Does this fit Coleman 12 cup stainless steel percolator?

Yes, I bought one for my Coleman 12 cup stainless steel percolator, and it works great.

does this fit the 4 cup farberware electric perculator

Yes, that is the pot I purchased it for.

What type of metal comes with the glass nob and does it come in any contact with the coffee while brewing or pouring?

Aluminum retention ring. Installs on inside of percolator top. It does contact coffee when coffee perks.

I have a one inch hole in my peroulator top, does anyone have something that will fit?

I believe the "Fitz All" top will meet your needs, and it is glass, not cheap plastic.
