Why did you choose this product over others?: Great make, great tool

The Arbortech mini pro is a great piece of kit! It takes a little getting used to, but once you have the hang of it, you’ll be hogging out wood faster than ever before. The mini pro is better than most of its competitors (I’ve used a lot of them) in that if you happen to dull of chip a cutter you can just spin it (using the supplied star key) so you’re back at a sharp edge. Tip 1: use a face shield! Wood chips get thrown EVERYWHERE at a very high velocity! Tip 2: wear gloves and long sleeves. Those chips hitting your forearms and fingers start to sting VERY quickly.

Havent had much time to work with it. I did give it a little try and was impressed. Cuts a much wider kerf than the industrial one though.

It just arrived yesterday and have not had a chance to use it yet. It is the part I need and it fits my Arbortech carving tool.

I used it to carve seasoned white oak. There was no tearing and kickback like the old cutters and after about three hours use there is no noticeable dulling or wear. I'm impressed!

great tool to have for a pro carver

I use this blade on my two inch arbortech mini wood carver for all of my detail carving. It works smooth as silk. I have had the larger industrial carver for years now and it is my go to carving wheel for a roughing out tool. I was always wishing there was a smaller version of it. Then, thank goodness, they made one. If you are a serious woodcarver you have to get this. You will love it.
