easy to use!
I love this stain! goes on easy and dries quick, leaves a nice soft warm glow. Wasn't sure if I could use it on my hard wood floors but I gave it a try. They are beautiful! and the finish is holding up great. I have had both plumbers and electricians walking on them with ho problem. I have moved furniture around without scuffing my floors. I sandaled and stained my baseboards and doors and they came out beautiful. I loved that I didn't have to buy a stain and sealer separately. One coat covered everything. The only problem was if you get a drip brush it in quickly because it dries fast!, All you have to do is be careful and neat about applying the stain

Chestnut is stunning!
Easy to work with and color is spot on and sooo gorgeous. I did 2 coats on this small antique dresser that I dry brushed off and I’m amazed at the results. Very happy!

Excellent way to stain maple
On very hard maple sapwood, I have had much better results applying this product with a lint-free rag (along the grain, working fast) than a with a brush, counter to the manufacturer’s instructions. I have had no blotching, which is amazing with this particular timber. I also find that I can do additional coats after only five-to-ten minutes this way, also counter to the manufacturer’s instructions. I am doing a dark color; four coats gets me there.

Good stuff, not so sure about the seal part though
Worked fairly well. Covered the wood without streaks. Nice even color. Only issues is with the sealing component. Its seem like it didn't sealed well ie. surface should have a clear sheen to it. So I slapped on a coat of clear. I was hoping I wouldn't have to.

Great product! Perfect color match!
I love this product! Struggles with what to do with sun damaged cedar window sills. Followed instructions and some youtube videos. Am very happy with product!

Color accurate, easy to apply
I used this to stain some 2x12 inch maple boards being used as shelf risers inside of a cabinet. Honestly, I just bought this product because it was the cheapest all-in-one stain I could find. I was pleased with the result. The color was exactly as pictured in the Amazon listing, a dark warm walnut. I put on 4 coats and waited 2 hours in between each. It is a milky color when it’s wet but dries clear. You definitely need multiple coats to get a rich color. This product worked well for my small project. The color ended up matching the stain inside my cabinet perfectly.

needs longer open working time
This stain description says its an oil based stain..it is not..it has very little open working time that any overlap causes double color and you cannot flow it out..if it was indeed an oil based stain, you would have a longer working open time..longer than a few seconds

Fantastic products
As a professional woodworker, I use SamaN brand stain/sealer on all projects requiring a quality stain. There is a night and day difference between this product and big box brands. It is worth every dollar extra in client satisfaction. I like that they have a wide range of colors. Follow manufacturer guidelines on application and you will have a great result. (this is not a wipe on stain in my opinion). Picture shows Aged oak on birch ply and Ebony on pine workbench frame. 2 coats.

Perfect colour for my sewing desk which was previously varnished. I roughed it up a little then applied the stain. Coverage is amazing. One coat does it but wanted a bit darker so I chose to do two coats. Dries quickly. I did our oak kitchen table & chairs a couple years ago with SamaN. Turned out beautifully. This is the best product for your projects. Soap & water clean up. Highly recommend.

I bought this product to refinish a tabletop that was ruined by accident by my landlord's handyman... I had never done anything even remotely like this before and have no experience with woodworking, painting or staining. I picked this product because it seemed easy to use and didn't require me to buy many different products to get the job done. I don't plan to do anything like this again so buying 2~3 different products would have been expensive and wasteful. I sanded the tabletop down and with a friend's orbital sander (first with a coarse sanding paper and finished it with a fine one). I applied a coat with a new dish sponge, with the wood grain, following the instructions on the can. It was really easy to work with and I didn't have to go super fast. The stain was forgiving. If you forget a dollop somewhere you have a little bit of time to wipe it off before it turns into a dark spot. I applied really thin layers and wiped the excess with a paper towel. I did two coats and the colour darkened a little but not as much as I feared. I picked the colour (amaretto) online, so I couldn't see the can in person, but I lucked out and matched the existing stain perfectly! The stain dries really fast (even though it was quite humid and cold) and leaves a smooth satin finish. Liquids bead on the finish, so I think it'll do a good job being resistant to water damage The first pictures are outside with full afternoon sun: tabletop before, bare wood and one coat of the stain. Closeup pictures is after two coats and in interior lighting (it looks a bit darker than in person on that picture). I think the stain matches the photo at the bottom of the can pretty well.

It is overall a satisfing experience and product. Easy to apply, low odors. However, because it is a stain with vanish, the first coat did the stain on the wood and it cannot be change later. For the first coat, any uneven painting, or more paint from one area than the others will cause the wood color look uneven, and there is no way to fix it. Because it is stain and vanish all-in-one formula, stain on second coat is blocked by the first coat, which cannot reach into the wood. I was making this mistake, then try to correct the color my applying multiple coats, and that does not help. What makes it worst is after 3+ coats, perhaps its too much, somehow makes the surface of the paint feel sticky, no matter how long the paint is dried.

Works on my bar table countertop (used). I decided to apply pre-conditioner because I was not sure this stain would cause blotching or not (my previous trial failed due to blotching and I had to sand it over. What a pain!). Overall I am happy with the final result. Here are the quick steps: --Sand with 220 grit paper followed by vacuum cleaning --Protect area with masking tape --Use respirator and exhausting fan for safety --Clean surface with mineral spirit paper towel until paper towel clean -- Apply Minwax pre-conditioner before stain --Use cloth rag to apply Seman stain evenly. My Bristol brush in hand are unfit either too small or unclean. -- Apply stain for 3 coats or until achieving desired color strength. Light sanding with 220 grit sand between coats.. dry overnight to allow sanding --mark up and touch area with imperfection. sanding + brush touch when needed. -- allow 48 hrs for drying time -- Dilute Polyurethane 50% with mineral spirt and apply it with a cloth rag or brush for total 3 times. light sanding with 600 sand papers between layer. --fully cured after a week

Used this product to finish my stairs. Handrails are wood, side trim is laminate, and trim under the shelf is rubbery compound stuff. It was priced reasonably, delivered quickly, and provided the desired finish. I don’t usually like stain, but was pretty pleased with this product. One 32oz tin was easily enough for three coats plus touch ups. I’ve still got over quarter of a tin left. The tin recommended using a natural bristle brush, which I used for the first coat. It was horrible and uneven. I then bought foam brushes from Amazon and used them for the other coats. This was much better and easier. Ignore the recommended brushes and use foam, it will make things much easier. The bristle brushes didn’t clean up very well, and the foam brushes are pretty much disposable after a couple of uses. Overall I was happy with this product, and you can see from the photos that the finish is okay (though I’m not an expert as you can see).
