Great closer. Works perfectly.
After years of having my screen door slam behind me I decided to replace the door closer. This one was exactly what I needed. It closes the door gently with no loud bang. Should have replaced it years ago.

It's not perfect but great price!!!
I like that this pneumatic door closer was easy to install as a replacement to a worn out closer. I like that the screen door doesn't slam in my face anymore! The color matched the screen door just fine. Just I'm not 100% happy because it restricts the opening of the door. It only open about 85 degrees.

Works as a basic option
It's fine. I wasn't sure if it would fit. I was trying to replace a worn out 1104AH-1 (which I couldn't find readily available to buy) that had a 9.5" tube (instead of the 9" tube advertised here). Both have a 1.25" diameter. However since the hole to (outer) hole length on this one is listed at 11" which is what my other one was, it fits fine. What I'm most disappointed by is that I didn't realize this one doesn't have a convenient button for holding the door open. Instead you have to slide the little metal piece in place which introduces more risk for pinching fingers, and also the tube on this new one is leaking grease in the area you'd have to touch.

Screws and door plate screw sliders size mismatch, causing improper soft closing of door.
First and more minor, the tightness of spring can be adjusted but is finicky to get an ideal balance and and even when at "ideal" setting it still takes enough effort to open the door that may elderly parents struggle to do it if they are also carrying/balancing something else in other hand. This is cheap product so maybe expected but in retrospect wish I would have spent more for a better one. This would be a 3 star review EXCEPT below. Installation has screws for a plate on door. Those have a grove that you can move the plate around with out having to re-screw. However the grooves are about same width as the screw, such that when opening/closing the door the whole plate moves regardless of how tight you screw it. This messes with the already finicky spring adjustment in part 1 of this review and makes it so the door either slams shut or doesn't close all the way. You would think you could fix this by adding more screws or moving the existing screws to the outside part of the plate so you can't adjust but it can't move either. But when I did this the screw holes where to close to first screw holes and the screw it self now moves. TL;DR; spent hours trying to adjust/get right and just got worse over time to point removed the whole think a week after installation.
