Ultra 410 Bike U-Lock

So far, so good! The Abus bike lock feels strong, but it was not "tested" against real bike thieves yet. I have had a Kryptonite bike lock awhile ago, and I definitely saw that somebody tried to break that lock (the rubber band near the end of the lock was cut, but not the metal part of the lock). The Abus lock is intact as of today, so there were no attempts as I can tell. I really like the size of this particular model, since I am able to secure my rear wheel as well. There is no extra gap left for a possible use of a jack tool etc. No problems with the key, as others might have suggested in their reviews. A bit heavy, but OK with me.So far, I like this lock. Of course, the cable is there just for your peace of mind, it won't deter a bike thief with tools, but it will deter an opportunistic person). It is scary though that any U-lock can be jacked, and none of them is 100% secure (at least in this price range). Not willing to pay 100+ for a bike lock anyway.

Needed a better bike lock for my husbands e-bike but have a limited budget. Ordered the ABUS Ultra plus Loop Cable. It arrived quickly but the loop cable was missing. We did not want to return since we were leaving on a trip and needed the lock. I sent an email to customer service and they responded very quickly. By the time we returned the loop cable was delivered. My husband appreciates the quality of the lock and I liked the price. Thank you ABUS. The pic is his bike locked up by our house. We use the cable to lock his and my bike together to a solid object and around the tires when they are locked up out in the community. Works great!

The U-lock arrived in good condition, but the cable was missing. I didn’t ask for a replacement, yet I’m not satisfied with the purchase.

This is a great lock, and the size makes it so you don't need the long cable unless you need to lock up both tires. I had wheel locks so I didn't need to worry about that, and it was easy to fit this around poles, bars, fences, and more. The plastic bike mount is a little weak, so I recommend getting the metal Kryptonite mount to replace the plastic one. It's easily just as good and way cheaper than a Kryptonite lock even with the bike mount purchase, too.

It's a nice lock but it rattles like hell and the flimsy mounting hardware they provide is so small it wouldn't even fit around any part of my bike not particularly large or heavy duty bike.

I use this lock when I bike ride in the city and need greater protection than just a typical cheap locks. I like this larger size since I can lock up the frame of my bike and include my friend's as well. I use another longer lock for the front wheels. I felt very secure leaving my new bike locked with this U lock. It is very heavy and sturdy, but I still was able to put it in my backpack and rode 15 miles and didn't even notice it was there. Then when we stopped to eat, I just whipped it out of my backpack and put it on. I like that it is straight-forward and you do not have to unwind it like my other lock.

This is one of the worst products I've bought on Amazon. Aside from being super heavy and awkward to mount and unmount, the lock is totally unreliable. Every time I use it, I need to spend five minutes trying to get the lock onto the bar so that the key will turn. The last straw was recently, I locked my bike and couldn't unlock it! Luckily, I found someone with a mallet, and after hitting the lock a few times, I was able to unlock and free my bike. A total waste of money!

I use this lock and at least 3 additional locks to secure my radwagon 4. My goal is to make a potential thief have to work so hard to get my bike and really increase the odds of getting caught, as my deterrent. This lock is about the right size with the child rails to reach a stationary object and secure the frame without leaving too much play. The RadWagon 4 has extra wide frame bars, tires, and guards that make it impossible to include a wheel in the lock up with a u lock. I share this incase you are shopping for the same bike or another big frame bar bike.

Me parece que el candado es de buena calidad, el peso es mínimo, cuenta con dos llaves y un accesorio para colocar en la bicicleta

Me llegó bastante pronto, el dia que me dijeron que llegaría, bien empaquetado y tiene buena pinta el candado. Lo que me molestó es que en la descripcion del articulo dicen lo siguiente: Dimensiones del producto: largo x ancho x alto 29.5 x 23 x 3 centímetros y cuando llegó veo que el candado mide 23 x 10,5 x 1,5 centimetros, lo cual no es lo que ponía en la descripcion del articulo. Es cierto que hay dos candados en la misma pagina, y el otro, en las especificaciones pone: Dimensiones del producto: largo x ancho x alto 37 x 145 x 230 milímetros. No me gusta sentirme engañado. Me quedaré con él porque lo necesito.
