I bought this plant to replace one that I owned a long time died. I like the unusual waxy looking flowers that bloom on this plant. This one arrived healthy and on time. It was packaged properly for shipment. After putting in a larger pot with good potting soil, it still looks healthy and seems to be thriving a few weeks later.After a move a year later it still looks good.

California Tropicals is a wonderful company! I have ordered several plants from them over the past couple of years and the plants have always arrived in wonderful condition. They truly know how to package the live plants so that they arrive without any problems. There never is any soil that has spilled out and the foliage is always in pristine condition. You would never know the plants have been flown and trucked anywhere. I look forward to ordering from California Tropicals again soon! Thank you for being such a wonderful company!

Super great packaging!! Much smaller than anticipated and very, very little root bound, I even investigated the roots to find they were less than an inch long from the cutting. Hopeful this baby pulls through though. It's quite healthy and they gave me three cuttings in total.

The plant I received was extremely healthy and looked as good as the picture )often not the case when ordering plants online). The soil was rich and fresh as well. It's off to a good start.

So at least this plant was rooted, as this company is not reputable and will sell you unrooted cuttings as a plant and they think there’s nothing wrong with that. However this was just single leaf rooted vines. The plant looks nothing like the picture, it’s not pretty and there’s no new growth on it… I think most people expect a small starter plants but they also think they’ll be a bit of foliage. The plant came with some white substance all over it I’m not sure what it was if it’s hard water deposits or of it’s diatomaceous earth. The leaves were dull, not that smooth slightly glossy texture that hoyas I loved for- I would definitely not shop with this vendor again. I ordered three plants recently from California tropicals and one plant was just cuttings stuck in dirt- when I contacted the company they insisted there was nothing wrong with the plant even after I sent them photographs showing that there were no roots. I will never purchase plants from this company again, and I really think that if you are a beginner plants enthusiast you would be wise to spend your money elsewhere. It’s clear that they will lie and try to take advantage of less experienced plant growers when they send out a plant that doesn’t have any roots. I have worked in the plant industry for 10 years and I’m absolutely apalled that this company would sell an unrooted plant to a consumer and say there’s nothing wrong with that demand that I pay for the return shipping. So unprofessional… Clearly this is not a reputable company. I have purchased a couple plants from them that I really liked but it’s definitely hit or miss and they do not take any ownership if they send you something that’s not in good condition. Shop with Steve’s leaves or Gabriella plants or Logees- no it’s not as convenient as Amazon but at least they send out healthy plants even if they’re small.

I don't know what I'm more impressed with, the beautiful, healthy, and nice sized plant, or the packaging. Coming from Cali to Ohio, when I opened the box it looked like a silver space suit. I'm always very impressed with their plants.
