I love this wool for my gas fireplace! It does create a beautiful color and realistic effect. It also is really easy to use because all you need to do is dump it into your fireplace and make sure it covers all of the open spaces. It also is really super light and makes me feel safe while my fireplace is on. The size of them do create what looks like a realistic ember, and we have had them in our fireplace all winter and they still look beautiful. That lets me know that they last a long time and they are Mega durable. If you need to replace these three or fireplace, I would purchase these for sure because they work great

I don't know about value for the money, but having it work as expected is worth having it for sure. I distributed it around, in small amounts, over the burn plate. As the flames come up through the material it looks like burning coals. Good appearance. I closed up my unit and have been enjoying the view since. Recently I saw how I might be able to enhance the view by using a wire brush to flake off some of the material, over the fake logs, to help accentuate the appearance. I'll try it the next time I take the door off for cleaning the glass.

Looks great and plenty to do the job with extra left over.

Good product. Works as described. I have a ventless gas log fireplace and replacing the rock wool in the prescribed places and quantities used maybe 1/50 of the bag. I'm set for several lifetimes. Not sure it can be purchased in smaller quantities? Your situation may differ based on your specific unit. Works great.
