I don't give five-star ratings very often, but this one earned it for two reasons that were particularly important to me. First, I wanted an inexpensive insulated mug to complement a Yeti tumbler my grandchildren had given me. I use the Yeti at my office for cold drinks and wanted a matching mug for hot beverages, but I wasn't interested in paying Yeti prices for it. This mug turned out to be an almost perfect match. The blue-gray finish is virtually identical to my Yeti tumbler, and even the half-inch stainless steel band around the mug closely matches the Yeti's appearance. Together, they look like they were made as a set. Second, I was impressed by how well the lid seals. In fact, it seals so tightly that I have to slide open the drinking port to break the vacuum before I can remove the lid. Likewise, when I fill the mug with a very hot beverage and immediately close the lid, the pressure from the hot air will actually push the lid out of the cup unless I crack open the drinking port cover to vent the pressure. To me, that is evidence of an exceptionally effective seal. Those two features make this mug stand out from many others I have owned. It is attractive, well-made, keeps drinks hot, has an outstanding lid seal, and costs far less than many premium brands.
