GE stove had burners with their own mind... it "safety assistance" button turned off at little adjustment of pots, not allowing steady heat. Because of Amazon advantage to return, ordered twice, until this one finally fits. GE was not wanting to sell compatible parts for my try; got them from Amazon for a fraction of the price.
