Great Fitment!
The size as described was right on. They fit great, they are very supportive and even fit under my pants so most people don’t even know I’m wearing them.

Comforatble but needs periodic adjustment
Tore the right (interior) MCL and fractured the anterior tibial plateau (unusual) falling down the steps so I needed something that supported both sides equally. This was one of about 18 braces I tried and it is the one I have kept and use consistently. It supports the inside knee where the MCL isn't stable and takes the pressure off the anterior (back) of the knee to allow the fracture to heal. When the MCL felt better I was able to apply a little more pressure so the rest of the weight was taken off the fractured anterior. The adjustments were handy and easy to do on the fly. My only issue is that it needs periodic re-tightening. It would slip down which I realized was because pants ride up and down as you sit, stand, and when you pull them down to toilet. So if you hear they don't stay up and slip... of course they do... and I've given you several reasons why. Just adjust them every once in a while. It is worth the minor adjustments to have the stability and reliability of this brace.

Size
It was no sizing table. I choose the extra large. It seems not to fit at all. Wound up buying another brand which fits fine.

My Bionic Knee
I had a complete tear of my ACL and torn cartilages 55 years ago from H.S. football. Over that time, I've developed O.A. and have been told that I should have a total knee replacement by two orthopedic surgeons. To offload my knee and keep it aligned, I used a DonJoy O.A. knee brace for many years until it literally fell off of my knee. This brace looked almost identical to my old one so I gave it a try. After a few adjustments, I've been able to continue playing tennis 3-4 times a week. My 73 year old body has slowed a little, but I'm still able to compete in singles with players 40 years younger than me at a 4.0 level - thanks to my shiny Orthomen OA brace. I've been using and abusing it for almost 2 years.

Comfortable and durable
I have a valgus(knock knee) knee with osteoarthritis and I need a knee replacement in the future. I’m only 43. And I’ve tried at least 5 braces all from Amazon. This brace is sturdy and comfortable. It gets the job done and I work in a shipping warehouse. The hinges are adjustable for fit around the knee joint. Straps are adjustable and it comes with extra Velcro and pegs for extension and flexing adjustment. The price is very reasonable if you want comfort. U may need to readjust the straps through out the day maybe once or twice but overall a very good brace. No complaints here.

Sturdy and comfortable knee brace
Needed to replace a 10 year old brace I've been using that was starting to wear out. This fit perfectly and was comfortable to use, especially over long stretches of time.

Needs detailed instructions please!!
3 star review. I like the build, very sturdy. But come on! Instructions to put it on but nothing in terms of installing the different pegs that limit range of motion. See the photo above. Different size pegs, looks like a pair of ear muffs?, extra pads for placing who knows where because… there are no directions! Luckily there’s a PT specialist down in Texas who put together a decent video on adjusting this thing. Orthomen, if you are NOT going to provide detailed instructions, at least post a link to this dude and pay him for covering your ass.

This is a really nice and well built knee brace with plenty of accessories included to adjust it for your needs. This is really well padded as well with plenty of padding all around, and the padding is thick and dense and comfortable providing fitting and firm support. Because the frame is an all metal brace, I found that there was very little play in the pieces, but there is some ability for side to side flexion on the knee joint. You can also adjust the amount of medial and lateral motion to get your knee aligned and supported by the brace. Included in the manual is instructions on how to wear the brace and in which order to cinch down the straps, as well as how to make other adjustments, like flexion and extension, etc. The velcro used here is that micro velcro which doesn't scratch your skin or get caught on other materials other than the knee brace material. Each of the pads have velcro behind them so when you adjust the straps, you can detach the padding and re-locate it as needed to shift it up or down the strap. Included in the kit are also pieces which can be used to limit extension or flexion of the knee. There are also spare velcro straps and other strap related replacement parts. There is a slight smell coming from the brace, probably from all the neoprene pads, so you may want to air them out first before using it otherwise it'll get onto your skin and clothing and then you'll need to wash them or else it'll smell, even after you take off the brace. After wearing this for half an hour, it feels comfortable and not painful. You can tell there's something holding your knee in place, but that's about it. Sizing: - I followed the instructions on the product listing to measure my leg circumference 6" above the knee, but in reality, you should really measure your leg circumference around 8-9" from the tip of the bend of your knee. Since this brace is a metal brace, the outer circumference is fixed and is NOT adjustable. Fortunately, it still fits me, but note that when sitting down, your leg may get wider due to the change in position, so the brace my pinch the sides of your thigh as a result. - I found that the upper calf pad would interfere with my knee and prevent it from bending fully as the pad was caught behind my knee joint since it rides high. It's fine when in a standing position though. Usage: - Getting this brace on may be a bit difficult. It's best to put this on in a standing position. In trying to put this on in a sitting position proved to be much more challenging. - You need to get this on nice and tight, and replace the pads on the sides of your knees with the right thickness to make sure that it's a nice and tight fit to get the most out of this brace. Getting someone else to help you would make this much easier. - The upper cushions and straps can also be cinched down independent of the back ones. - There is no quick release mechanism for this brace, which means that each time that you take it off and put it on, you have to start from scratch. - If the straps are not tight enough, you can cut them to shorten them. The velcro pieces can be detached and relocated as needed. They grab onto both sides of the strap. Care: - You can hand wash the straps and pads. - You should use some dry lubricant to lubricate the joints, like graphite powder.

This is my second order from Orthomen and they do make very good products. This did not include a large duffel bag for the knee brace nor did it have a smaller one for accessories like my previous order. The package came with the following: 1. 2 buckle mechanisms 2. 3 pairs of high-density condyle foam in increasing thickness. 3. 2 spare velcro straps 4. A small screwdriver and a dual tipped hex wrench 5. 2 screws The knee brace looks very sturdy and durable, yet lightweight. The frame is made of high-grade aluminum alloy. Will not hinder movement due to weight. The frame of my previous one was black. This one is silver. Less inconspicuous. The inside is lined by double anti-slip hypoallergenic silicone gel coated padded liner. The silicone swirls will prevents the brace from moving. No part of the metal is in contact with the thigh or leg. Will make it very comfortable to wear. There are soft air condyle foam pads with covers on the medial and lateral parts of the knee joint to prevent rubbing of the brace against the knee, further increasing comfort. The superior quality adjustable cushioned straps secures the brace to the thigh and leg. Very easy to don and doff. Just release all the straps, align the hinge with the knee joint, reattach all straps, and you’re good to go. The joint moves very well and the angle lock system limits the angle of flexion and extension. Range of motion can be adjusted with either flexion or extension pegs. This will prevent either over-flexion and/or overextension. Attached by removing front or back screws and inserting the pegs. 8 pairs of flexion pegs at 0, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 degree angles, and 4 pairs of extension pegs 10, 20, 30, 40 degree angles. This is a very important part of the brace to prevent over-flexion and/or overextension. The only thing that i didn’t like about it was the design. My previous one had the lower brace at the back. This one lies in front, which makes it in contact with the shin bone. Although it is well padded, it still would have been better if it was at the back, in contact with soft tissue (calf muscle). Overall, this functional knee braces provide stability and support to an injured or unstable knee, helping to protect ligaments (like ACL, PCL, MCL, and LCL), limit painful movements, and assist in the recovery process after injuries or surgery, allowing for a safer return to daily activities and sports by controlling excessive motion. Prevent s injury, reduce pain, facilitate healing from injuries or surgery.

I gotta stop snowboarding, in fact this is my last year as I keep hurting myself and now I have to have surgery once the season is over (at least 2025-26 is letting me give it my best last year with SO much snow) and I know this is for the left but I checked and I think I can make it work on the right if they decide I need on there too. I think the small size is the right size for me, it is not too tight but not loose which is what you need i think. I can always loosen it if there is swelling and I really like that this is velcro all around, even on the sides that I thought were sewn in. It is completely adjustable which is really nice. And on top of that the side loops flip up to make this easy to put on yourself if you can. I practiced putting pants on with this in the bent 45 degree position and it was a little tricky, but we are doing the surgery in the early summer so I am hoping I will be able to get along with skirts and dresses that I can pull over my head as I recover. They give you lots of extra pads in case the others get dirty and the back straps have anti slip grips on them so you won't have it slide down as you walk or in general. It hold firm and I am confident that it will keep me from moving while I recover. I do like that it is not super obvious under some jogging pants, of course you can wear it over but I wanted to see if I could hide it and you can. So that's a bonus! Overall I have not used this in recovery yet but I am always one to get a jump on things and I showed it to my doctor and he approved of it so I feel really good knowing that I am prepared and I won't have to use some cheaper thing that was covered half by the insurance. Plus as long as I keep this clean I can use it when my other knee needs work too and I think that should be easy enough the way it is all removable. I think it is epic construction for the price, I feel bionic wearing it and it will beat plastic by miles. I am so glad it fits and is easy to tighten and figure out. I am really pleased with this, I am not looking forward to wearing it but I am looking forward to it helping me heal, which I am certain it will. Highly recommend for strong build and complete personalization for a perfect fit. 5 stars.

I’ve been using this Orthomen OA unloader knee brace for medial knee pain, mainly for daily activities and longer walks. From the first use, you can feel that this is a serious support brace, not a light sleeve. The dual hinges provide very good stability and help take pressure off the affected side of the knee. The unloader adjustment actually works, once properly set, it gives noticeable relief, especially when walking or standing for longer periods. It helped reduce discomfort compared to a standard knee brace. Fit is accurate for size S / Left. Straps are fully adjustable and allow you to fine-tune compression without cutting circulation. Padding is comfortable and doesn’t dig into the skin. After a few hours of use, it still feels stable and doesn’t slide down, which is important. Build quality is solid. Materials feel durable and well made, suitable for regular use. It’s not the most low-profile brace, but that’s expected for this level of support. You can wear it under loose pants without issues.

This is a very well-made knee brace with very high quality straps and padding, there are multiple ways to adjust it so it gives it an exceptional fit. The metal is lightweight and very sturdy and does not bend or flex under pressure or use. With multiple points of the side hinges, it makes it very comfortable to wear. I just had one issue. Initially when I tried to put it on there was some swelling at the top of my knee joint, it extended up to my thigh and made it very difficult to get the top of the brace to fir around my thigh. The brace has a u-shaped curved top that is supposed to fit over the top of your thigh and then the straps wrap around the back of your lower thigh and fasten. Since the top of the brace is such sturdy and inflexible metal, I couldn't wear the brace as much as I wanted initially, till the swelling went down enough to get it to fit. I did get to wear it eventually, and while I was wearing it, it did relieve the pressure and discomfort on my knee. It would be really great if the brace had a way to extend the top circumference of the brace to accommodate the different sizes of your thigh, I can't imagine someone who was a big sports fan getting this to fit on their thigh, I'm a female and I dont think I have a big thigh, and I could hardly get it to fit. The size on the bag was labelled S-L so I'm not sure if that means Small to Large or something else. Maybe I got the wrong size?? Other than the fitting issue, this is a great brace. I've had others that were super heavy, had bad velcro fasteners, weak straps, cheap screws and metal, this is none of these things. Well work the money if you can figure out the sizes.
