Great for labradors and anything like that.
This thing is great the balls bigger. But. I wish the ball was more durable. I have a Cane Corso and the only reason I’m saying that is because any dogs like that just destroy the ball. It’s hard to find a launcher that has a 26 inch ball that they can use. Sprayed for labradors and anything like.

Must have for fetch
This chuckit is heavier than the medium size chuckit thrower but it launches the ball just as far. My Aussie loves to play fetch and using the chuckit thrower saves my arm and back.

Works great!
This is actually the second ball launcher I have purchased. On a day when my brain was out-to-lunch, I purchased a 2.5in Chuck-It ball set; it was way too small, so it was gifted to my niece dog. Even though the 3.5in ball version is recommended for dogs over 100lbs, my 70+ pound Doberman needed this larger size. This ball launcher takes a bit of getting. used to, but it is really helpful for those of us who are not MLB pitchers! The launcher itself is a sturdy plastic that is not brittle yet not soft; when the ball is launched there is no destructive bending in the shaft. The handle is padded and ergonomically sound while the cup end cradles the ball but has cut-outs on each side for easy loading and unloading of the ball. It did take a bit of practice for me to get the hang of it, but for my husband and son it was much easier. The launcher works well to help us older, non-gifted athletes launch the ball farther and faster while saving the shoulder, elbow, and wrist (important if there is any arthritis). The ball fits nicely into the cup and releases easily. I have chosen to use a 3.0inch ball for the simple reason it is easier on my hands. The problem we have is for some reason our dog will simply not relinquish the Chuck-It ball! He even tries to get the extra ball in his mouth, now remember these are 3.5in balls! (We have found if we have a second ball loaded and ready to throw, he more willingly puts down the ball he has just retrieved...not the case with the Chuck-It ball). No matter who throws, how hard we try, how long we try-he refuses to release the ball. To solve the problem we just do not use the Chuck-It ball. I have just discovered another great use for the launcher. While recovering from cataract surgery, I was not allowed to bend over at the waist. I can squat easily, but at some point the body automatically begins to bend at the waist. That restriction limited playtime with my 4 legged friend. Enter the Chuck-It ball launcher! Once he drops the ball (the substitute 3.0in ball), using my foot I can scoop the ball up into the cup of the launcher and voila', "Play Ball"! All in all (my dog's uncooperative stance not withstanding), this has been a great dog toy. Top 3 Likes: -Easy to use -Relieves strain on wrists, elbow, and shoulder -Helps drive the ball farther and faster Top 3 Dislikes: -Not a problem with the product, but for us the ball is unusable and superfluous at this time -There is a mild worry that with time the launcher may snap -Only two dislikes!

I can throw much further with this
If you have a dog that likes to fetch, you should get a ball launcher like this for them. You can throw so much further with it if you want to, or you can keep the distance more controlled if you don't want the dog running too far away. You can also use the launchers to pick up slobbery balls off the ground, so your hands stay clean no matter what. A little bonus is that the larger launchers are actually able to pick up and throw smaller balls that aren't meant for them as well, it just takes some more skill on the part of the user. One thing I do need to warn about though, is that you should replace the felt ball this comes with. Dirt and sand will get stuck in the felt, and the texture will turn into something like sand paper. If your dog plays with such a ball a lot, your dog's teeth be half the size in a few years. Chuckit sells other balls that don't cause such damage. Alternatively, the Kong balls also work with the Chuckit launcher. (There are plenty of other options; these are just examples.) Also, large dogs may accidentally swallow the small balls if they get overexcited, or open their mouth wide to try to catch it when it bounces. So it's important to get the appropriate size for your dog. If you're not sure which size is right for your dog, it's better to be safe than sorry, and get a larger size.

👍
As expected, but somehow throws balls further than our previous orange chuck-it stick😂

Definitely not like the original much bigger
This is definitely pro. Much larger than the original version, with rubber grip. This will throw the ball really far. We have German Shepherd dogs and they love to chase the ball down. The best way to use if you have a smaller area is to launch it underhand and let your dog run it down. My only issue is that you receive the "PRO" with a felt ball that lasted for literally 10 minutes and was then ripped at the seam and punctured a hole in it. I believe that this should be sold with the ultra ball not a low quality ball. The ultra ball has lasted and shows no sign of wear. Recommend highly but order the Ultra XL ball when you order this.

The ball is of the lowest quality
Great throw device. The ball is of the lowest quality. My dog broke it in less than 5 minutes of play time.

A fantastic chucker
The ball goes almost the whole length of a rugby pitch easily. I feel like if you really give it some you could probably send one into orbit.

Sehr praktisches Teil!
Also: Das Teil ist super!
