Yummy sourdough bread. Ordered San Francisco sourdough as we find it hard to get good sourdough bread in Southern Oregon. Very fresh and great istructions.

Good tasting bread and good for you

If you have ever had sourdough bread, this one from San Francisco Boudin Bakery is one you will want to try. It is delicious sourdough bread. I live in Arizona and my husbands birthday was coming up and I knew he loved sourdough bread, so I did a little research and decided on Boudin Bakery. It was the last gift that he opened, and he was really surprised and happy when he saw what it was. He hadn't had really good sourdough bread in a long time. One other thing about this Bakery, I wasn't expecting the bread until the 27th of Oct. It came 4 days before that!! I was thrilled. I will order from them again in the future.

I grew up in the Bay Area and I need a sourdough fix now and then. My fav for years was COLUMBO sourdough from the East Bay. No longer in business (where did did their sourdough STARTER GO?) our fallback PARISIAN is also gone. Boudin is a beautiful loaf and has beautiful texture- BUT- alas, it does not have the sweet heady tang of a good sourdough culture. My Boudin loaves smelled like putrid dirty socks- a sign something was wrong with the culture. They were probably frozen before shipping. Thawing out en route was probably the problem.

Arrived early. today. Followed easy, simple instruction for warming bread in oven. it tastes like sourdough bread is supposed to. Vastly superior to anything I have been able to find locally It seems expensive but worth the money if you like sourdough bread. I will be reordering again, soon. Well worth the money for good bread.

I had this shipped to my daughter who doesn’t get sourdough like we do on the West Coast her and her family was thrilled to death receive this. I would send this again.
