Works well

This pump is a work horse, it will pump gasoline faster than any gas station pump. The only thing to be aware of is make sure the voltage is 12+ dc from a good source or the pump will not start. I used heavy 4 gauge jumper cable wire for the hook up. First time I moved 14 gallons of gasoline in less than a minute. Beats hand cranking and I didn't spill any. Be sure to install a good filter because this pump will move sediment along with your fuel. I installed a Golden Rod filter with a see through bowl. The bowl allows you to see the fuel moving and is small enough to drain without wasting too much fuel. Make sure to lubricate the rubber gasket and wipe it dry after each use. The filter gasket supplied with the filter will easily turn gummy and seize the plastic bowl making disassembly difficult possibly damaging the filter system.

Good pump. Better warranty than the other brands because they build them better. Other brands boast of how light their pumps are. That's because they have plastic internal parts. Fill Rite pumps are also far better when it comes to being exposed to the rain.

This is the second FillRite pump I have installed that only lasted about a week. The first one I purchased (2018) from Amazon lasted for about 3 fill ups then the motor burned out. I made a warranty claim but needed a pump right then, so I went to tractor supply and bought one off the shelf. It still works to this day, knock on wood. So FillRite sent me a new pump, which I kept as a spare. Unopened, inside my parent's house, for 3 years. I bought another transfer tank for my truck, and decided to install this pump on it. I installed it a week ago, turned it on just long enough to see if it actually worked, and did not need to use it until today (6/28/21). I pulled in to fuel up a piece of equipment and nothing from the pump. I pop the hood and the 30A inline fuse is blown. I replace the fuse and still nothing. At this point I am done trying to diagnose the problem on the job site. Bring it home, pop the cover where you make the electrical connection and a small amount of water comes out. Not ideal but not overly concerning. Check multimeter at the battery and read around 13v. Check voltage at the pump and it is the same. Now time for the switch. That is when about 1 cup of rusty sludge and water poured out of the housing. When I looked closer it appears the O-ring was ripped upon install. I did not remove this housing cover during install, it was the same way it left the factory. I know that after 3 years there is no chance of any kind of warranty since I had to fight for the first one and that pump was only a couple weeks old. Thankfully I should be able to replace the switch that was fried myself. But if you buy one of these pumps, you might want to check seals/add some gasket sealant and hope it all works out for you. Or buy a different brand. Would not recommend.

I bought this to replace my Gasboy fuel pump. It is the right size and is 12 volts, which is more convenient when hauling fuel in the back of my truck. I also bought a 3/4" 50 ft hose reel. My plan is to mount them on my fuel tote and be able to load one piece of equipment instead of individual pieces. I'll wire a trailer pigtail to the pump that will plug into my trailer light connector to power the pump. Should make things much easier at -20 degrees here in Alaska.

These pumps are getting harder and harder to find in my neck of the woods. They are being discontinued for what I would say is a "cheaper" brand...but not sold for any cheaper so when I found it available on amazon...whoot whoot. They've been good pumps in the past don't see why this one wouldn't follow that trend.
